Aquatic weapons / Breathers
Only when Aquatic combat comes into play, also, the Aqua-Breather will replace your helmet, so, make sure you have the same rune on your AB as you do your helmet, or else the rune-set bonus will be broken (Reduced to the 5 rune bonus.) Also, if you use any, “On kill” sigils on your land-weapons, make sure one of your aquatic weapons has the same, or you will lose your 25 stacks of whatever, such as Bloodlust/Corruption.
Hope this helped.

Yes,
Build them to what you want to get out of water combat. If you don’t use leeching sigil on land weapon sets it’s probably BiS for your primary aquatic weapon in wvw. Mine are all offensive berserkers, vipers and so on because I like to fight underwater. But making them tanky is viable too if you just want to use water as an escape route. The breather should pretty much always finish your Runeset but if it’s one that doesn’t activate in water then consider a lone superior rune.
Another thing is stat combinations that differ from land to water. If someone is complete berserker glass cannon mesmer they might consider a viper trident because of the easy condi it puts out. Every bit helps.
Thanks alot guys helped alot <3
Just to add, many players especially the “true WvW players” don’t actually have level appropriate under water weapons so don’t be afraid to jump into the water and fight. In fact it may pay in your favour in some cases (looking at you Justine and that insanely broken pet rez) as some classes have insanely strong skills underwater that can also target and be used on people near the water.
Condi Longbow RIP ;-(

Water combat is my favorite. As a DH I am almost unstoppable underwater lol.
