Are the zergs actually bigger now?
They are bigger. Many have come back to see the changes, many jumping on the bandwagon to grind ranks. The bigger the zerg the faster you can flip something and move onto the next one.
The one monster zerg running around the map will be here for awhile.
It’s a nightmare for roamers.
The game just go really really zergy!
Server : Anvil Rock (Since Release!) [SOLO]
Yes they are bigger and you can see them it’s like a twofer.
It was 2 vs 20 but its ok we got’em both!
Yes – its turned an OK game into an kitten achingly awful one.
In T3 a majority of the day it is one 75+ player zergs from each realm flipping towers and camps. Occasionally there is a fight but not often. During the off times the zergs splits up a little bit because there is no opposition
The nametags are so big it makes it look like 20 people are there for every nametag.
I disagree that it turned GW2 into an awful game although it does seem like there are a bunch more people on the map at the same time before the queue kicks in.I’m not sure if they raised the limit of players playing on a map but it sure seems so.
Personally I like being able to see whats around me. It allows 20 man groups more tactical options without having 40 people pop up out of nowhere right on top of the group. Surprise/culling attacks have gone the way of the POI ninja captures and I dig it.

I think the zergs are bigger in some servers since a lot of people came back. Also, the best way to get Wexp is to zerg, so more people zerged up to gain ranks fast.
Being able to see your opponents is awesome. As a solo/small group roamer, I’ve found it’s made my life much easier because I see zergs before I run into the middle of them now. How can that be a bad thing? I can usually run/wp away before I get swallowed by a 60-man now.
Why yes, yes they are. . .
Kinda funny how your WorldXP gain is exponentially proportionate with the number of people around you, rather than inversely, eh?
It’s new tactic. Make so big zerg that enemy players can barely use auto attack. In this scenario bigger crappy zerg have good chance actually win.

Define zerg. 20? 30? 40 or more people?
Characters- Levicus (Ele); Levicus Gear (Eng);
Levicus Shield (War)
Lag, it’s the new culling.
one zerg to rule them all
Yes they are bigger.
Kreen – Warrior L80, Mono Lith – Guardian L80
Higgsbosun – Thief L80, Silvron – Ranger L80.

I would define a zerg as numbers that can’t be taken pretty consistently with a competent 10 man team. Therefore 25-30+, I would define as a zerg.
That of course is keeping in mind that many guild only have 10-12 people on at a time.
That being said, this is “Guild” wars 2 and if I was in a 300 man guild, I would want to run with my pack of friends regardless of the numbers.

Yeah, I just flat out stopped playing. I don’t need to grind out some skill-less ranks with a bunch of zerglets. So no incentive there. Plus, there’re so many it makes doing even the most minor things is a pain. Try to take a camp and either:
a) A bunch of zerglets form your side show up to ruin the fun.
b) A bunch of zerglets from the enemy side show up to ruin the fun.
Either way, it’s just not rewarding for a roamer right now.
This zerging thing has been extremely bad and sad. Why make a game rich in combat mechanics just to promote 80+ man zergs?
Meanwhile, ANet sits quiet on the issue; they don’t tell us which direction they’d like to take WvW.

2x whatever it is you’re fighting is zerging someone. Everyone does it intentionally or not.
>10 is a zerg.
Keep it to 5, people

I disagree; the zerg is the main mass of player of a zone.
Referred to as “the zerg” as in “where’s the zerg so I can hang out in it and continue to be a bad player” yeah.
Zerg has a lot of meaning though and its all about perspective. You guys taking 10-15 against 40 is certainly not zerging. Taking 10-15 to a mostly unoccupied zone to roll trios is.

Zerg – A dismissive term for a group of players that outnumbers their opponents. The actual size of the group is irrelevant, as the term is used to deride a perceived lack of skill rather than accurately describe numbers.
In other words, “Zerging” doesn’t mean people are in large groups. It means people are reliant on being in large groups because they are bad. It’s an insult, not a unit of measurement.

For a shorter defenition just write ‘see vizunah square’ because thats pretty much bang on.
100-150 man blobs dleiberately bunched up to cause the most lag. They used to deliberately cultivate culling bombs – now its lag bombs. And the reliance on large groups because they’re bad – spot on.
