Guild Wars 2

I have posted this before and didn’t get a response or any intelligent feedback from other players on this idea.

Quick rant to keep the topic fresh. There are two major issues in WvW.

1- Mesmers dying at gate and getting a rez THROUGH the gate to portal everyone in.

2- Corpse spying.

I shouldn’t even have to explain these issues. nor should I have to give examples.

Please take a second to think about this idea.

In World vs World. There needs to be a death timer added to players that do not rally. Downed state has a soft timer that will eventually kill you. Fully dead means a revive is needed. However, having unlimited time to lay down dead is the key aspect of why these two issues are here.

If you add a 1-2 minute timer to a DEAD state, it will fix our problems without changing the dynamics of the game. 2 minutes lying there as a dead body is plenty of time to finish a battle in WVW with the amount of zergs that are going on. Teams will run away giving you revive time.

Another key aspect to this is stopping that timer while being revived.

At the end of 2 minutes, You become unrevivable and your map pops up forcing a waypoint or a GTFO button.

Either that or your 2 minute timer ends and you pop up as a zombie. You lose all control of your character. Your character then roams around the zone feeding on anyone dumb enough to get into melee range. Those players then begin losing life per second until they die and become zombies themselves. Thus begins the “outbreak” on WVW and players are forced to sit inside towers and keeps to defend themselves against an endless wave of zombies with limited rations/ammunition. Rytlok Brimstone will make an occasional appearance and wreak havoc on thousands of Tyrian zombies but never making any progress on preventling the ultimate demise to that which is known as Lions Arch.

Go ahead and skip that last section but take everything else seriously.

Can I get some players to agree to this so it stays up there in the forums? I mean, if you have something against this idea, you are yourselves taking advantage of these “exploits” as some would call them.

If you don’t have an issue with this change, support it. Build up as a community.

I sent a feedback ticket about the current state of WvW and asked them to talk to the player base and they said please use the forums yet when I come here I have seen very similar posts and no response from Anet

Yeah I was told to use the forums as well. I understand that they are busy but these two issues are BREAKING WVW. Corpse spying is as old as the first competitive game. It’s just a bogus tactic to use. Dead bodies don’t talk, so how can they see? lol.

Mesmer portals is clearly an exploit when used in this manner. Reviving through a wall is a broken mechanic and can easily be fixed with my idea.

If we get enough players to voice their concern in the same topic and support this idea, we can make something happen!

Yeah, the zombie thing is amazing lol. I am bored at work and my mind went off in the wrong direction.
