its good to have a dev on ur team/side for survival reasons.
In TPVP, if a dev is on my team,i know I won’t be the first target to die!

There was a number of occasions in the past when some devs were in an opposing team mixed with normal players, when the TPVP match started, all 5 of us ignored all capture points and just searched and destroy mode and ganked the dev,once the dev is dead then we resumed normal play. Once the dev has respawned,we drop everything and ganked him again,lol

revenge for making ranger pet so useless even after 1 year into the game. All we want is a pet that can hit a moving target.

actually, I think we have one in DH – but never puts a tag up – loves pve – I can’t say he is one officially – but the way he spoke left clues that he knows stuff that he doesn’t want us to know he knows …..lol – so I played along – very nice person actually and patiently guided me through a dungeon!!

like what, you may ask ? like being impressed of how far I got in the game with just wvw – while me not saying much if anything about stats and gear lol

There was a dev that ran on TC, win or lose..whether we’re getting stomped or not, I’ve seen him on. So, just because you see some devs running in BG/SoR/JQ doesn’t mean they all are

This is a silly thread. Devs move around to different servers all the time. We have seen the same dev play only BG, then JQ, then SoR. Guess what? He probably played on some other ones too.

IoJ has a few, we have had one in the server’s TS before as well.

Nice though to see them actually actively participate with players in the game they develop. We’ve had an ArenaNet employee run with us on BG a few nights in a row, even jumping on to TeamSpeak with us – even for an uplevel thief he wasn’t too bad of a WvW’er

Yep. He even through some supply into a burning oil build site at Bay hehe. We had some really fun fights on JQBL on Sunday night. Hopefully he enjoyed following us.

I think anet needs to have 1 week a month where they just play for fun and enjoy the game with us.

I suppose we all have to be nice with them too, because who would want to work on a game where all your customers are always angry at you – that will only cause a separation. It’s better if we all understood this as our virtual home and worked together to make it a happy one :p – one pays in cash the other pays with labor to make it better.

Vehemus [full name redacted] plays on SBI, and WvWs quite regularly with his anet tag on. I know of 4-5 ANet staff that play on TC and WvW somewhat often.

Personally, I think it should be a requirement for every person that works on a game to actually play it. The fact that Anet people run around in WvW with us a lot is just wonderful. I love it when I see an Anet tag running around friend or foe. It shows us that they are not just some name on the forum. I would think it also must be nice for them to beat the ever loving snot out of us sometimes. “Complain about how we nerfed your class? take that!” (blasts player)

anet tags should be god mode anyways – ya’ll bring torment on yourselves for tagging up as mortals lol how can you be authoritative with a tag when you are getting 1 shotted by a zerg ? seems to me you guys want bragging rights for surviving with tags on too lol!!

actually, that might be an innovative way to curb cheaters, throw anet tags on em rofl!! they’d become instant targets vs the whole server heh!! – don’t let the person know they have it, and don’t let the rest of their server see it lol…they’ll just wonder why everyone is picking on em heh!! -smh- “omg, they must know what I’m doing!!” hahaha!!

I don’t hop around; I’ve stayed on the same server since launch (not a top tier server BTW), and have no plans on leaving because I really like my guild and my server (which IMO is one of the friendliest around).

I don’t rep the ArenaNet guild when playing because I don’t want to be a distraction to others (or a target) and I also just want to play the game as a regular player. If people happen to see me repping the ArenaNet guild, it’s because I’m there on business. When I do that, though, I’m usually not in WvW, but attending a player-run community event.

I have a feeling you might be the Anet Engi I have seen on JQ a couple times, and my have chased pretty far through the middle BL ruins and eventually given up because i play a guardian -.-

i wouldnt challenge u guys to go roaming and record it. i’d rather see u guys fighting in t3 and up on either mesmers or rangers in zergs or zergbusting groups. maybe u guys would understand then how boring and frustrating veilbot and how terrible the pets/clones/phantasms are in wvw.

on another note, we had a fun anet guy on our server that joined when we faced jq and had nothing but 1 camp, then we decided to build 40 omega golems and the anet guy joined us! :-)

As someone who has intentionally and deliberately followed Groucho around in sPvP spam fearing him, yes.

Dev tag is a magnet to zergs from both sides though, if they came to our server they’d get zerged heavily, if they went to the larger server in our matchup they’d not have that issue.. but anyone trying to fight them would find them well protected.

Secondly, solo-roaming is actually what I do most, especially in BL. I’m the kind of player who will go around either solo or in small groups (4 – 5 people) refreshing siege, staying behind to repair walls, spotting/scouting, going off to retake remote camps, disrupting supply caravans, do guard duty, and other activities like that.

1) I don’t have GM commands on Live, and even if I did, I’d never use them.
2) I’m very happy where I am, thanks.
3) I hope Chauncey von Snuffles III (grown-up cat BTW) doesn’t count.
4) Is that a feature request/suggestion? XD

4) really made me laugh. I’m glad that ANet developers and community managers don’t mind showing a sense of humor on the forums.

We have some devs on TC, but they like PvE more than WvW… Wonder if we can get them to DR for some RP. Or if I can get an RP dev to RP a commander

Do devs ever try to command on servers? Or do you just let it be, we used to have one in our guild, but he stopped WvW’ing

BG doesn’t have much resistance against SoS or Maguuma. Something needs to be done with the matchups…

(btw: Yes they found me standing watching the zerg did a mesmer port up to me and ganked)

Does any of the devs play on EU server, that often fights vizunah square? Imo it should happen cause that would completely lay out why wvw is so trouble atm.

American server playing devs, have an easy time, america is way more balanced.

Aww even the devs like to bandwagon to BG and the like…. don’t see any of you trying to help out on UW or such though.. wonder why, oh yeah that’s right cos it might upset your balancing of such servers. Nevermind, if the current matchup is anything to go by on UW, the lag issues of the last few days will at least subside for the few still poking their noses around the maps now reset is over

I recently started to get back into WvW. I have been playing on Blackgate this last week, but like others, I often move around.

I thin Isaw you running with that AoI group (unless more than one on BG, no idea). It was a great idea because some people would try to suicide into the group to try and “kill the anet guy” and just added to the kill count.

Man. I’d totally love to have such a tag.
Would probably take a variation of the old medicat or any other immortal build and lead enemy zergs around the map all day.

You just gotta see the upsides. There is no better way to draw aggro than an arena net tag. Best, if you also have commander status, ofc, to add an extra taunt.

Anybody not playing against vizunah square, honestly cannot state ‘american is not balanced’. While in essene it’s true, in comparison this truth crumbles into a coffin.

EU 2nd place TPVP team beat NA 1st place TPVP team in the birthday bash event.
Validates your point to a certain extent. But we need NA vs EU wvw to confirm that.
NPCs will need to fill up the last world though since we cannot have 2 NA worlds or 2 EU worlds in the 3 world battle.

Hope to see Black Gate(NA) VS Vizunah Square(EU-FR) VS Zhaitain Horde(NPC) in an epic fight for world supremacy!
