Lorella Windrunner – 80 Thief
Shayera Nightfall – 80 Mesmer

I have 3185 armor and a Thief opened up with three Heartseekers on me. 1st for 2,819, 2nd for 3,917, and the 3rd for 4,995 back to back. Come on, I’m leveling a Thief and that is your #2 mash button that attacks as fast as your GCD. :/
Then I have Warrior’s throwing Blade Trails at me 6k. Killshots for over 9k.
Why is Armor such a crappy scaling stat compared to offensive stats?
edit: Another Heartseeker for 5,149 and 3,725.

Toughness scales directly proportional to Power from what I know. In fact I think the algorithm is a straight subtraction from their Power based on your toughness point for point.

It obviously doesn’t scale with crit dmg which is the problem. If I was a class with less toughness than the damage I would of taken would of been 15-30% higher.

Then you’d have a situation where Toughness is budgeted equal with Power on gear, but toughness scaled better. Suddenly everyone drops power/precision/crit% gear for power/toughness/[random stat] gear and WvW gets more flak for being too defensive.
Remember that your opponent is having to devote 3 stats (power/precision/crit damage) to get his power to scale better, so having that all negates by one would make gearing very one dimensional.
