I want it to make sense right away, then another sense later. Murkiness =/= quality "

I think zergs need to have marching sound effects. Whenever there’s a huge glob of people running around, they need to make noise. Grumbling footsteps audible to all enemies, volume base on distance and size of group. Imagine armies marching in medieval time. Those soldiers don’t run around silent. They make sure people from miles away hear them and stay away.
This need to occur in WvW, as part of the anti zerg initiative. Roamers and underdog server can evade and out-maneuver giant zergs much more easily. Veil exploits by way over the intended number of targets become much less effective.
Most importantly, this achieves the objectives without any forceful limitations on player behaviors, while turning WvW into a much more immersive, cinematic experience.
Really interesting concept! I think it would be nice to hear stealthed characters footsteps in stealth too xD
I will most often hear an attack before I actually see it in game. I can hear mesmer noises, cata sounds, rams hitting, etc … and will run to it to look where it’s coming from, and often thwart a ninja attempt as a result.
I think this is a fabulous idea, mostly because this game is so sound-friendly and would give another auditory cue, particularly for solo roamers out there.
Play this song!!!!!!! It is a Classic!!! Those who played Command and Conquer: Red Alert know this one well!!
that and heavy armor metal sounds from moving also would be great, idk which game does that well, not sure if its skyrim or dragon age or something
Ya. Totally spend time working on this. Nothing else of importance needs to be completed in this game at this moment sound effects for zergs are like #1 and #2 on the list.
Better yet let runes of perplexity proc this with no icd with 15 stacks of confusion in an aoe
We need more lag, right?
KUTM, you don’t understand.
The code trigger that will make these sound effects play IS zerg lag. You already get that chill down your spine when your skill buttons stop working. Now you can hear the steamroller coming too. Brilliant! xD

I play with game sound off anyway, so go for it.
dont know about marching sound but i would like this one when we are destroying a zerg.
Sounds like an easy and fun idea while being very easy to implement! I am up for it
The lag is a strong enough indication that a zerg is coming by.
