So there is a new trend, where people are using zoomhack in masses, and this ends up with situations where one side can build about 6+ arrow carts behind the walls and keep an entire map population from breaking even a tier 1 wall/door. It is becoming almost impossible to take such a tower/keep. You cant use catas or trebs in most situations because there is always a treb behind the walls to counter it, no problem with that, but combined with a “million” arrow carts behind walls and zoomhack to shoot in places where it is not possible without it, it becomes gamebreaking, since you cant even approach or stand anyway in the range of arrow carts, and you cant destroy them because they are out of line of sight. You cant report the zoomhackers either, because you cant see them, they are behind the walls.
And now, it is even more ridiculous, because these zoomhackers use this to clear your entire tower/keep before putting any rams or whatever, just 1 arrow cart and all of the defenses are worthless. If it was just rare cases, it wont be a problem, but it is tactic #1, used all the time, as much as possible as hardcore as possible. Its a meta of the game in tier 1 EU, it is just sad.

ArenaNet, i beg you, find a solution to this ASAP.

OK, that is some pretty crazy targetting there.

One or two of them may not have been zoomed out.

But the one’s hitting the treb on the supply area in the tower is crazy. So is the first one.

Your siege can out range an arrow cart you know, unless you only use rams…

It’s mainly a problem for defending towers, they just destroy all siege inside.
And it doesn’t just happen in tier1.
I’ve been on the recieving end of it in tier7 aswell, luckily only once.

Looked at pics, if you had arrow carts placed it never would have happened. So yes it’s lame, but hardly “game breaking”

Well i suspect that either their carts had been aoe’d down already.
Or they built arrowcarts inside the breakout bubbles and take the towers carts down.

Are you serious? So if a msemer makes a portal inside a tower using hacks to get in it is not game-breaking because defenders just had to have a zerg inside defending the keep?
Seems legit.

This arrow cart was put there with lightening reflex to counter our catapult. This happens all the time, such often that it seems like it was intended by design and it is a common thing now. Well gj, we have a new meta, zoomhack wins the war.
Oh, and by the way, reported. I doubt it will have any effect, but still.

What on earth is this zoomhack you’re talking about? Arrow cart’s don’t need line of sight, if your character can see it and it’s close enough the arrow cart can hit it. No hacks involved, you just move the aoe field above the gate and below the wall to hit the other side.

I’ll agree that iSinners screenshot looks fine. I often palce an ac behind a gate with a cat etc and you can fire the ac so that half the circle covers your side and the other half covers the other side, no zoom hacks or whatever they are needed. I do the same when I play my ranger with barrage.

However, this screenshot from the other thread that was linked looks a bit more odd assuming those are ac red circles on the treb and not cat or treb shots. Maybe this is what the OP means.

I can not make a screenshot so that it would contain both AC and the zone of its attack, the AC from the last screenshot is not shooting on the gates(which is normal), it is shooting on the ground far beyond the right wall, which can not be achieved without zoomhacks. The screenshot was made to demonstrate that it is becoming very common, the use of zoomhacks. You can check it for yourself, right now in the game, it is used everywhere, i just cant position myself good enough for good screenshots since i die fast from tons of arrow carts. I just want to raise the attention, because it becomes ridiculously silly.

I don’t need hacks to make a big pile of dead bodies, just my guild and my 9 AC on walls+cannon I ordered:P just my little present from fissure of woe to ruins of surmia, I took the photo after half respawned, sorry fow peeps, but hey, we still got about 20 bodies left:P

it is really sad that there are so many hacks/bot/cheats out there for this game right now. the best we can do is just bring it to the dev attention and hope that they take action.

It amazes me how far some are willing to go to get ahead in a video game. I never understand video game hacks. Why do they exist? What is the purpose of using hack in video games? Yeah you win, yeah you have highest PVP kills, yeah your server is the best of the best, AND?
