Guild Wars 2

Sanctum of Rall, better known for being named after fellow gamer Roger “OldRoar” Rall, is looking for active off-peak WvW guilds. Sanctum of Rall is an active community driven server with a strong US WvW presence with numerous WvW orientated guilds.

We have a small Off-Peak presence that is looking for more Guilds to join our force in order to take and hold assets during the off-peak US times. We are currently battling it out in the middle range bracket against Fort Aspenwood and Sorrows Furnace and we are aiming to push into the top 10 US servers over the coming months. This is currently unachievable without additional support.

So if you are looking for a challenge and hail from the Oceanic, Asian, Middle-East, Russian, African or European part of the world look no further… WE WANT YOU to be a part of our community.

Actually it’s both on and off peak :P. We run WvW during off-peak US hours and I’ve only seen a handful of people/guilds playing. Anyway still hoping for SoR community site(any big guild? :P) so we could all plan (perhaps guild meetings?).

There is a community site in the works I believe at Sanctumofrall.com I don’t know who is running it though. Hopefully it will be up and running soon.

It’s not so much about winning but more about having a few more players during our time zones so we can get some WvW action happening without being slaughtered.

Moving to one of the unofficial Oceanic servers doesn’t solve the problem, it only amplifies it. It’s great having others to fight but it’s better if we stand half a chance.
I don’t want to single out just Australians either, I’ve played online games with people from other countries which is why I am part of a multinational guild, I enjoy the company of other cultures just as much as my own. I’ve followed leaders from Singapore, fought side-by-side with an Iranian woman (even though it was illegal for her to play) and still do play with people from Germany and the UK. The more the merrier I say, we all have one thing in common, WvW lets get amongst it.

Sanctum of Rall is actually pretty solid. There are some good guilds on this server, a few dating back to DAoC.

The U.S. prime time is as competitive as anywhere, but there is as little Oceanic presence as I’ve seen anywhere. Besides Eredon Terrace, it’s probably the most competitive Medium pop server.

Note: We are not looking for US prime time players. We are already quite competitive during that time slot and I refuse to sit in a queue. I am sure you are all lovely people but I don’t want to switch servers.

We are definitely filled to capacity for the US time zones, we just need to fill out a little from GMT to +12 GMT.

More off peak players would be great for this server.

This should be classed as an exploit, its incredibly pathetic that a server has to hire people from timezones so different from their own to win.

5am this morning Ring of fire had a 30 man zerg attempt to retake our entire map after we had beaten every one of there bases in open warfare.

Guildwars needs a region lock before this is just an exploit.

Its the only way to get 24/7 coverage sadly.

And its hurting Europe more and more as it seems serious guilds and alliance’s move to USA to avoid the problem we have in EU.

Nothing we can do about it then swallow it or move to USA and jump on the bandwagon.

And looking at USA servers it seems a mass exodus from european guilds already happens…..

Region locking fixes it instantly. We are losing enough population as it is in the EU but this is insane. If it wasnt for that reset last night a 30 man USA team would have taken over our entire borderlands after 3 hours of none one enemy trying to attack us.

This needs to be stopped now before it ruins WvW anymore.

Region lock Oceanic player base? very smart, which is also something they will never, ever, do. I’m Oceanic and I vs a lot of NA defenders, just because you’re asleep, doesn’t mean the rest of NA is too.

Nightcapping is just a symptom of a lack of 24 hour coverage. The problem is that such coverage relies heavily on Oceanic players who aren’t numerous enough to warrant their own servers but are expected to balance out non-peak populations on every server in the world. I think that’s the crux of all these problems.

Your server top heavy? Long queue times? Night-cappers? Mix up the player base.

I don’t see why it should be a problem to have balanced servers fighting fair and epic fights 24/7. Is there anyone here who likes to win without effort? It would be great if not only Sanctum of Rall, but all servers, had a mixed player base. Come to think about it: good fights all the time at WvWvW, getting to know people from all around the world, it’s much more fun, all the time.

P.S. I think all servers should be taking steps to make their populations as diverse (and spread among the different time zones) as possible. It’s not an exploit. It’s healthy.

I’m on the west coast of USA, but I tend to play late into the night. I’ve been considering xferring to SoR, but is it really as barren at night as people are saying? The guilds you guys have sound pretty amazing, and well organized, but I’d rather not get my kitten handed to me every night when I spend most of my WvW time.
