Making a new thread for the coming matchup! Have been three nice weeks (at least this week, I wasn’t much present during the two others :/) Hope for another good week with a lot of fights!

Plenty of good action to be had, we will likely change colours again

Will there be a round 5? or will FSP replace one of us? or better yet Will one of us get promoted into tier 3?

Judging on recent results should be another fairly balanced close match up with FSP potentially sneaking into tier 4.

Had some fun tonight with the guild, running through EB in bull form and afterwards retake our borderlands with 15 commanders strong.

Please dont tar all AG and Fury members with the same brush, personally I abhor whats been done and shame on whoever organised it “on behalf of” AG. They certainly dont speak for me.

I’d like it known that Fury were not one of them, just prior to that we have turned AG back Blue to prove a point that we could – then as BB will testify by the trail of dead we took 7 commanders and a zerg to their borderlands looking for fights. While we were on BB the AG map rolled over. I dont want Furys name dragged through the dirt for it. (We manage to do that on our own server with our own particular brand of drunken trolls )

A very suspenseful match finish has been totally ruined.
Its definitly a shame for AG.

This thread is going to get out of hand fast I’m sure but one reason for AG’s actions in the closing hours was realising that based on the score, our numbers, etc we had 0 chance (mathematically) of getting out of third place and made the decision to prevent RS from winning in response to recent comments from some RS forum-goers about Gandara “baby-sitting” us in a recent match-up.

Thats the reason why I lent my support to this action. Obviously no one on AG is happy about losing the match but it was interesting to see how long it took BB to become aware of what we were doing and take advantage of that.

Well, AG should be happy – they actually have the chance to enjoy RS´s undivided attention for the next 7 days.

If you wanted to win, you should have performed better and if you turn out to lose in the end you’re allowed to be dissapointed, but don’t blame your loss on other servers.

Ofcourse I have read all of the posts above and I don´t see anyone of Aurora Glade actually admitting it was done. I just see some people defending themselves that they weren´t.

Just for your entertainment …

We saw AG-people defend BB Dollies … we saw AG-people dancing together with BB peolpe within the RS hill fortress and so on. The complete AG map was capped by BB and there was NO effort to recap anything. Sometimes a few supply camps where AG colored, by brave AG people.
And due to the name calling rule i will NOT name guilds by name. And there where well know guilds involved.
But it was definitly a night of dishonor for AG.
Anyway … we dit our best to fight against 2 servers.

So … now you can troll me … or be silent in shame …

Thanks to BB and RS for the epic fights in AG borderlands this reset TUP had a fantastic time with all the action going on, even when we were down to just defending the garrison! Special shout out to RED for the massive massive battles inside the lords room.

On a side note, I would like to say TUP had no part in the pre-reset activities tonight.

Yeah well we have gotten wiped out by BB every Friday in each of our match-ups, mostly because our guilds and commanders are not around at that time, planning for reset. So BB making a last push running through our unorganized mess was not a big surprise.

Maybe there were some elements in our server trying to secure a Baruch Bay win, but if you think our whole server including its PUGs and guilds were rallied to lose on purpose, you’re probably wrong. All I did with a significant amount of other people were EB jumping puzzles, not putting too much effort into a match-up already lost.

It’s just a couple of hundred points either way, so nothing much resolved, we have to do this again and hope one of us gets a dominant win this time to change up the match-up a little bit.

Great reset night, awesome fights even if the fun was somewhat diminished by the fact that the biggest fights brought horrendous ability lag.

As for the hijinx that happened before the reset, like Taranius said, Tup had no part in them.

That aside, boo friggin hoo.
This is a 3 way battle. It was designed to be that way. If there´s three sides, it´s just bloody natural that such a team ups happen, and without a shadow of a doubt devs knew this kind of things would happen when they made it this way, more than likely they wanted them to happen. It´s supposed to happen, get over it. The game is supposed to be warfare, forming alliances is essential part of it.
If one team is dominant, are the remaining two just expected to suck it and do nothing while they get beaten? Hell no, they should definately team up to take out stronger opponent. If one team focuses it´s attention on other, should the third team just stay put minding their own business? No, they should backstab the guys so hard they bleed for a month. Did something about opponent kitten you off, maybe it kitten off the 3rd party too? Go and do something about it! Everyone should use all the means they have available to them, including making alliances, turning coats, double teaming and all that jazz, the game would be a lot more interesting for it.
But no, somewhy it´s frowned upon, despite being completely natural result of how the game was designed. Somebody wins that way and people say they don´t deserve it. You know what? they beat you fair and square, they outplayed you, or more precisely they outplayed 2 opponents both in and out fo the game. Call it dishonorable and frown on it as much as you like, the fact remains that they deserve that victory, they did something more than the others, and therefore beat them.

I wish community would stop the white knight act, might be a politics scene would start to develop. Certainly would make things a lot more interesting.

Aside from that, foo on [REQ], we just wanted to defend a keep and they had to stroll in, zerg our 3 delayers with liek 150 peoplez and then they came out and there was like 30 of them, but they each had one more guy in their backpack so there was more like 50 of them and they completely zerged me, drank my blood and /danced on the corpse of my poor poor support ele. Bad conduct and totaly not fair and stuff!

Just to make it clear, we didnt lose on purpose, we were at the point where it was impossible for us to achieve any other placing so it was decided at the last hour to lend a supporting hand to bb and unfortunatly these things will happen when youre playing the points game and trying to better your standings in the wvw environment, the 2v1 server tactic is a viable and known tactic. Now even though we didnt go so far and was litterly a final hour support push not all of us were happy with it including myself it did feel wrong and i was abit uhhappy that rs didnt ge their first place but unfortunatly thats the way these things roll in a pvp world contest, im sorry you didnt get your 1st place but this will not be the first or last time we will see this happen throughout the wvw tiers

Everything you said its ok for me,being focused from both, even if you not attack each other i can deal with it.
But dancing with Baruch together in our Keeps, on our Corpses, escorting Baruch Dollys and waving together at us after you wiped us is a little bit disappointing………
I mentioned just few things, so let me know what you would thing about it?
Some people on Riverside did great efforts last two days to close the gap, only to see that things happen.
I know its just a Game but even there should be a little Respect for the Opponent…….

Yeah thats not very nice, i didnt personally see that but i think what happened was people just got caught up in the moment and forgot themselves, on the whole were a very friendly community, but cause we are only human sometimes these things happen.

Hey, I am the leader of KISS, I would just like to say to RS, I totally disagree with what the active AG guilds did to prevent you from winning hours before reset as it was uncalled for..

The only good thing that can be had from this incident is the fact that if AG can pull its finger out and work together to stop a server from winning,.. that is brilliant our server can work together to accomplish this.. Although I do not see why AG cant work together all the time.. they have to get there acts together for a loss..

I personally feel this is the biggest mistake made By Aurora Glade commanders and the involved guilds have made yet. NO WONDER you riverside guys rolled on AG may about 3am with 4-6 golems and +40 man blob.

How ever on reset who ever played EB borderland and fought over BB corner of the map and stonemist what fun was to be had.

Please dont TAR Aurora glade for this action as not everyone is active around the clock and not everyone would be given the right to prevent it from happening..
I hope this situation can be put in the past and everyone can move on soon enough.

You did zerg pretty hard with the 30+ RS players you used to take a tower defended by two people in BB BL.

Good thing RS left the borderland soon after, it was fun 3-manning two keeps until they came back. Almost wiped on keep lord & quaqqan lightning.

i find it very despicable what some gladiens did pre-reset. i take imense pride in being a member of the machine called Aurora Glade and what some of you did was unacceptable. This is a format about good fights and war tactics, not “oh were gonna lose lets all go in a huff and kitten off the other guy”, shamefull. all you did was hurt aurora glades rank by letting BB walk all over you. Riverside did not even lose that much infact there rank went up and to top it off you call it a truce but did BB do anything for you, NO. Will they, NO. Go wake up. I hope we can have some good fights and laughs this week, looking forward to seeing you all on the battlefield.

teaming with another server is an acceptable tactic its part of the 3 server battle format, the idea being 2 smaller servers for example could double team a more powerful opponant, so you may find it “despicable” Mr Singer but its not illegal, and yes i was a part of it and didnt really enjoy it and probably wont do it again, but the idea behind the push wasnt just to go off in a huff and kitten the other guy off, there were tactical level headed decisions made.

It did not effect your overall ranking, it did not effect the bracket ranking. Any particular reason for messing up a fun night full of enjoyable fights?

We did not care about the bracket placement, since it would not have made a difference anyways – but we really did enjoy the head to head race, till you decided to deliberately ruin it. (which actually is the reason ppl are so upset about it)

oh so i deliberatly ruined it, all my fault huh, whatever… Not everyone is going to like every tactic used in a battle, that is war, either real or no, this is a part of how it goes, as it stands i had little to do with it apart from being a foot soldier, but im not worming my way out of it or justifying myself, it just was what it was, if you want the specific reasons for the actions ask the commanders because i honestly cant remember.

Well if some other AG guilds did end up letting BB take over our BL and help them keep it, it is a bit unfair.

But then again this is war between 3 different servers, there is nothing to stop 2 servers teaming up to beat down the 3rd.
After all if Anet think that the spies who build useless siege in keeps is fair play them this is fair play as well.

No man can be faulted for karma-training every once in a while, rewards being what they are in WvW.

I do wish you had gone for the gate first though, had a couple of superior arrow carts waiting. A treb was in the plans to counter the attack but we could not rally anyone else to defend the tower.

Oh come on (german) guys! As somebody already said here; this is a 3-way battle and its natural that two teams tag-team against the stronger one. We (Aurora Glade) have been in this situation numerous times, but what can you do? After all: all is fair in love and war, they say …

PS: Looking forward to some great fights in the upcoming week – after all, we all need (more) lootbags!

So due to some RS forum-goers you decided to ruin the fun for everyone? I’d just like to advise you guys to think stuff through better next time.

What you effectively did was just prove the guys who made the “baby-sitting” comments to be right: You (AG) can only impact matchups when working together with another server to create a 2v1 scenario (with the other server being the stronger force obviously).
On top off that, you also took away ‘victory’ from BB. Was an amazingly close match between RS and BB that could have gone either way before you guys decided to give points for free to BB and assist them whereever you could. So BB just happened to finish with the most points, but neither of us could call ourselves the winner, as there was none. Just one sore loser: AG.
And that’s the third thing you did: Bring shame on your whole server and every single honorable player that may be on it. Now this is just a game and all, people shouldn’t take stuff too seriously and w/e, but do not be as naive as to think this will go without consequence. Since you’ve proven yourselves to be without honor and sportmanship, don’t expect to be treated as if you had these things.

Let’s face it, BB simply won the diplomacy side of the war. They did a good job in playing on our feelings. I don’t know what happened, I wasn’t there, I do know our server organised a party in PvE which was mostly advertised in our WvW active community, so lack of defense on our side was surely not only cause of some negotiation with BB. However, if it’s true that AG let BB on their BL that easy, then BB did a very nice job playing at the feelings of those present in WvW:D I personally have been very interested in this side of the battle and have been thinking of ways to make use of this (I’m not a major player on our side, so you won’t hear from me ever probably but yeah…)!

There’s always two sides of a battle, that of the blunt fighting and that of the diplomacy. BB clearly won the diplomacy this week over RS. I personally hope we’ll see more of this in future times, team ups from servers on some days, giving points away, swapping points, all that!

All this talk of ‘shame’ and ‘dishonour’ is a bit ridiculous. Its a pretend battlefield played with toy soldiers.

When people abuse the weak, children, old people and the like.. then that is cause for shame. People are equating some shenanigans in a game where noone ever really dies, gets hurt (bruised ego’s maybe) or into any kind of situation that is anything other than pure fantasy with things that really matter.

Remember who you are, where you are, what you are actually doing, and how unimportant it really is in the real scheme of our lives.

Get some perspective please. Its only a game. If you cant see that i recommend a trip to a cancer ward or a starving third world country.

This week i will be both collecting and donating lootbags. Win or lose.. corpsejumped or not… troll emotes from rivals or not… i will still have to pay bills, nurse my little one etc etc

Have fun guys.. but for gods sake dont get all antsy over a game.
