I’d say in war, even “kingmaking” is a valid strategy. I’d rather take encouragement from the fact how well we performed even against all odds. It makes so much fun to play for our server, as always.

Strang just one Note to end this whole story.
Everything you said its ok for me,being focused from both, even if you not attack each other i can deal with it.
But dancing with Baruch together in our Keeps, on our Corpses, escorting Baruch Dollys and waving together at us after you wiped us is a little bit disappointing………
I mentioned just few things, so let me know what you would thing about it?
Some people on Riverside did great efforts last two days to close the gap, only to see that things happen.
I know its just a Game but even there should be a little Respect for the Opponent…….

Shame for the people that worked hard, but this is the way things will and should happen in situations like these. Hopefuly this serves as a wakeup call for both sides that the things you play against are actualy humans who can pull off stuff like this and not mindless bots there only to fight strictly how everyone wants.
Though sadly i can see that the white knight syndrome continues and people don´t aknowledge that they lost, instead they just go on how unfair and dishonorable this all was acting like martyrs.

So, I was originally hoping for Riverside to win last week, mainly because I’d been camped in EB JP by BB multiple times last week, but after all the QQing from Riverside here, I could care less.

Honestly, people need to get off their high horses and remember that 1) others see this as warfare, anything goes (within the realms of anet’s rules) and 2) it’s a game, get over it.

Riverside, it is quite obvious your upset over this, therefore take it out on us this week, don’t come in here shaming our server’s members and making us look pathetic. Man up, kick our kitten and move on.

WvW is a place where people go without any respect or honor, and then they justify themselves by saying things like “WvW is war, get over it”.
People in WvW are way worse than people in sPvP, and you can’t even chat with eachother. The attitude there is so bad that im disgusted by it.
I often see 30+ organized guilds just completely trample 2-5 players without anything that even remotely resembles a fight, just to bow or laugh afterwards.
I get that it’s cool to feel powerful like this, but imo it is just lame as kitten.

Zergs avoid eachother and headhunt smaller groups, it is kittening ridiculous.
Oh and btw. have people decided that this week should be a Thief/Mesmer week? It’s pretty much the only classes i see, and it’s usually not this big of a problem.

Wiping RS on open field equal numbers is like taking candy from baby. Imo RS is worst open field server. Only tactic they know is to blob up to 60 in one place.

Well, I can’t do much about some of my fellow Riverside players having a tendency to hug towers/keeps too much at times, but I corpsedanced at least 3 FURY players today, planning to keep it up!

As Argwulf says, show proof as some guilds have done above and in previous threads else your just trolling.

We never talked anyway. Because everything written here was about the same 6-8 guilds liking each other on facebook.

I did not start bashing another server for not having the best groundforces. Its a FACT that riverside never had a good groundarmy. But that’s due to the place where we come from. Your server got played up from the bottom. People had fun “zerging” or playing smalescale. Our server started t1. the first week people got permanently kitten by a 80 guy France zerg….
People did not have fun there. And the guys that had fun playing coordinated left us when we dropped down 3 breakeds…. Slowly but they left.

By now we played our self up. We have many guilds that do fine ground combat as you call it. but there is no talk about it because everything is called ZERG that has the riverside tag…..

This thread is going to get out of hand fast I’m sure but one reason for AG’s actions in the closing hours was realising that based on the score, our numbers, etc we had 0 chance (mathematically) of getting out of third place and made the decision to prevent RS from winning in response to recent comments from some RS forum-goers about Gandara “baby-sitting” us in a recent match-up.

Thats the reason why I lent my support to this action. Obviously no one on AG is happy about losing the match but it was interesting to see how long it took BB to become aware of what we were doing and take advantage of that.

So due to some RS forum-goers you decided to ruin the fun for everyone? I’d just like to advise you guys to think stuff through better next time.

What you effectively did was just prove the guys who made the “baby-sitting” comments to be right: You (AG) can only impact matchups when working together with another server to create a 2v1 scenario (with the other server being the stronger force obviously).
On top off that, you also took away ‘victory’ from BB. Was an amazingly close match between RS and BB that could have gone either way before you guys decided to give points for free to BB and assist them whereever you could. So BB just happened to finish with the most points, but neither of us could call ourselves the winner, as there was none. Just one sore loser: AG.
And that’s the third thing you did: Bring shame on your whole server and every single honorable player that may be on it. Now this is just a game and all, people shouldn’t take stuff too seriously and w/e, but do not be as naive as to think this will go without consequence. Since you’ve proven yourselves to be without honor and sportmanship, don’t expect to be treated as if you had these things.

Hi Makku, I’m only replying to your post because I’ve been directly quoted and wish to point out a couple of things about my post that I don’t want missed.

First of all you will notice that I have used the word “I” quite extensively rather than “we”. I can’t speak for others and why they did or did not take part in this. I can only speak for myself.

I won’t deny encouraging people around me to ignore BB players and focus on RS because I did encourage them to do so and I’m sure someone could probably provide a screenshot to prove that.

Several Gladians PMed me in-game asking what I was thinking. I explained myself to them as I did in the post you quoted. Some of them told me I was out of my kittening mind and should gtfo the server – I told them they did not have to follow me, they could do whatever they wanted. No one was “forced” to do anything they didn’t want to do. Others agreed with my logic and went along with it.

So in response to your first point – Yes, one reason for MY actions was related to some RS forum-goers however I don’t think I ruined the fun “for everybody”. I no longer fit into the stereotypical teenage nerd living in his mother’s basement playing computer games surrounded by stacks of pizza boxes and empty soda cans. I do think my actions through and the majority of them are deliberate.

As many others here have posted WvWvW is a week-long, drawn out, money-sink of a war. Wars are won in different ways and so far as the points go BB won.
Does it bother me how they won? No.
Am I proud that I helped them win? Not particularly.
Am I secretly pleased RS didn’t win? Yes.
Do I care if I am singled out, ostracized, shunned for admitting this? No.

It is a fact that AG lost and had lost before this action began. ANet stated in an earlier article that they expected servers to work together against whoever was leading at the time. If you feel that my participation in this is against the ToC then please, feel free to report me and I’ll wait for a representative of ANet to get in touch.

Getting back to your third point now (just noticed I was starting to ramble). You state that I have “brought shame on my whole server and every honorable player that may be on it”. This is the reason why I am raising my hand and saying I was involved in this action. If you read the various posts in this thread you will see representatives of some of the guilds on AG saying they had no part in this and to the best of my knowledge – based on who I spoke with and the guild tags I saw around me – what they say is true.

So far as being without honor and sportsmanship is concerned I’m going to have to disagree with you. By my definition, if I was without honor I wouldn’t be making this post. But I’m not going to bother trying to deny I am “without sportsmanship”. There is a list of things I consider “un-sporting” such as ganking players in the JP – I can quite honestly say I haven’t done that, corpse-dancing – haven’t done that either as I don’t see the point. But one thing I can say is that I have not violated the ToC or used any exploits (unless you consider hiding a mesmer in the glitch spots at hills or bay to be an exploit) and if they have the ability to do so ANet is welcome to look though whatever records or logs they may have on my account and confirm that.

I realise this post is getting on in length so I’ll summarise my main points now for those that didn’t read everything.

2 vs 1 is part of the game, it’s why we have 3-team maps in the first place.

Nothing shameful or against the rules happened here, it was just a rare chance to influence the outcome of a very close scoring match in a the last couple of hours.

btw:
1. remark to supposed cross-server cooperation on AG side: perceptive people can easilly notice some very nice synchronized attacks on AG towers recently. I have counted at least 3 attacks in 3 hours today by myself, when RS is taking panglos and veloka at the same time when BB is taking splendon and mendon’s or Anza (2-3mins difference max). Is it coincidence? Who knows! Maybe it is only common scavenging strategy, maybe it is something more.
2. remark to friendly neighbours environment: Plenty of people were not even online at friday. Most of AG population are still not aware of anything what RS is saying here today. If you want to give everybody from AG reason to not like RS server due to your generalized “we will show you” attitude. You are going in the right direction. But do not blame us at the end of the day ;-)

Im loving them being out and zerging around… the loot is raining off them even more than normal. Though without the easy flipping of keeps my new project is a bit slower but sure that will sort itself out in a couple of days.

Im actually wondering if my new character will personally get enough badges for a full armour set when he hits 80 as got 140 badges in about 4-5hrs play and only lvl 12 It may be the benefit of not allowing any pve on this one. lol. (not that i need more badges, overflowing with them currently)

Part of the reason we helped bb was to actually put the boot up your collective rs arses, and it worked its like throwing a rock at an angry wasps nest and now youre swarming and raging, its got the passion back into the fight and were loving it

We have fun sometimes teasing the germans but not in a truelly mean spirited fashion, so look past the diplomatic shenanigans and just bail head first into the fight and come back at us even harder than before!..

Out of the ~20h i commanded last week i only spent around 15min on riverside bl and nothing on Eb, since BB kept us pretty busy on our borderland. Luckily this seems to change this week.
The video was not about our superiority but about the actions of a comparatively small group of players. Something we believed more people could appreciate.

And special greetings to DTK, who we by the way only beat once on open battlefield when they were in “full raid mode” (out of the dozen times we faced). Hope for some more fights against you – it’s always enjoyable.

We only managed to get more PvE player in WvW perhaps. But no guild and or players from other Servers.

To all of You RS/AG/BB, please don´t feed the “trolls” keep cool in this forum and head out for the opponents in battlefield. That´s much more fun I think.

And we also know that not all gamer of AG was involved in this little thing last Friday.
So all is “Flauschig”^^ and the guilds not involved have still our full respect and don´t have to worry about.

In Germany we normaly say: “hey, stay over it” / hey, einfach drüber stehen
meaning we know who we are and what others say don´t care us.

Totally agree with you – after all it’s a game and everyone plays it the way they want to… I wouldn’t like RS teaming up with BB against us, either, but hey, it’s not forbidden! Everyone to his own.

I think mostly both AG and RS reacted a bit heavy concerning this “AG-BB” thing (haven’t noticed anything from BB personally), thus the mountain out of a molehill situation now… but just as you say: all’s “flauschig” (plushy?) now, let’s just play and have fun and live and let live!

I for one won’t try to stir up any hatred or rage against anyone… as shouldn’t anyone else. It’s just a game!

yes “flauschig” means fluffy. We have one tiny, little, fluffy asura elementarist whit a Quaggan bag. His name is Flapsi Flausch we made him to our mascot. Our warcry was adjusted to Flauschig or Flauschiiiiiiiig.
So we scream it out sometimes that You know when the fluffy army will roll over You and that only with fluff^^ (don´t take it so serious, we are also able to die, hehe)

Woah… Why do WvW threads always have to deteriorate into this shambles, lack of respect for enemy… when will people realise that your enemies(other players) make the game and the score is largely meaningless besides determining enemy.

Reminds me of when piken and Augury made a alliance on xmas? against gandara… as they were both heavily outnumbered and it was between just 3 active commanders on two servers… that % of players is hardly anything of a server and it was maybe for 12 hours or a bit longer? It produced alot of bitterness for many weeks

Tarring actions of a few which you disagree with to whole server is very illogical… Its not like there was a meeting, it was pre-planned and big % of server taking part.

They were probally bored and or roleplaying… it happens in 3way, intentional or opportunistically… it is what it is, its not right and its not wrong (illegal) I can understand RS being frustrated, but if the victory meant so much to you, you would of made sure (like you seem to be doing this week)

Like if i saw a few people exploiting from x server… i wouldnt call the entire server exploiters, i would report to their community so they know who’s dodgy to look out for.

I dont know why it takes this bit of Drama (to some) for RS to show its true strength again that it is a t3 server… Just like Baruch Bay is a T3 server in waiting…

As for RS zerging… every server has their zerg not just RS… some people are ignorant and dont say the difference between Large guild group like DTK/Zorn/VU and pug Zerg. Pug zerg is generally mindless (not always) but obviously less organised than a guild group… so its pretty disrespectful to those guilds to just always call them zerg even if they run larger numbers than you… Its nothing compared to the general t1/t2 zergs all on the spot.

Maybe if your guild groups and pug zerg didnt run around together in close proximity you would get accussed of zerging less but people will always accuse and counter accuse of zerging… its in peoples nature too. I know you guys are just trying to co-ordinate but the proximity at times gets accused of blobbing. The have’s and the have not’s, numbers difference always a sore subject in WvW but WvW isnt meant to be fair and always equal.

long way to go but Gl if you do get promoted to T3… I Know RS is strongest on weekend and with “events” or being worked up by drama I know you wont be push overs on weekdays either by putting in extra effort like you showed last week.

Whats happened has happened, and yes it was stupid. But whats even more stupid is whats going on in this thread. In the grand scheme of things nothing has changed, we are still fighting the same people, none of us have gained anything anything from our opponents by whats happened, and we certainly are not gaining anything by slagging each other of here. Lets focus on this week and the present please.
