Proud of my fellow Aurorians, after getting our backsides handed to us for a couple of weeks a while back (kudos to Millers Sound in particular) we’ve really started to gel as a server and kick some kitten in the last two matchups.

Its definetly going to be an interesting week with us 3. Even us, the underdogs of Underworld, are giving you guys some resistance.

Yesterday was really interesting day in UW Borderland and we managed to hold it to us, even when there was both teams pressuring us from both sides. Drakkar did give us harder time, but Aurora didnt slack around either.

Great fights so far, really enjoying this matchup. I hope Underworld can make a comback before their morale is down too much.

Last night fight with Drakkar on their bg at hills was great. I liked their pull and push trick at the south/East gate.

Hey, I’m the Wvw Alliance leader for Underworld, considering we lost 12+ wvw guilds to Gandara a few weeks ago I think we have made a rather nice come back :P

Ill do my best to keep morale up, although we do seem to be short a lot of our population this week.

The scores are close enough for it to be enjoyable, Infact I imagine next week we will give you a run for your money at this rate

Drakkar last weekend was rather impressive, we had to get an entire alliance on to stop you steamrolling everything at one point.

we too lost a lot of our PvP guilds a while back, and suffered for it. recently however I’ve noticed a greater co-operative effort, combined with a better community spirit, and it’s paying off. Some decent commanders have helped a lot too.

Had a great run last night in our own borderlands, just the 4 of us, mopping up the camps and hunting down the loan wolves. Also, was great fun watching the blue and red teams clash at a supply camp only for us to run in once you had all left and retake it just in time for the points tally.

Very proud of the UW! We are at 3rd place at the moment but we still keep fighting. It was so different a few months/weeks ago.

Indeed, gotta be proud of UW. Our communication has increased a lot past these couple of weeks and people are working together to achieve stuff. Feels like people are making more initiatives and not just waiting a commander to show up on the map.

Its also nice to see random players join me to escort Dolyaks from time to time

drakkar have lost the plot. apparently continuously failing to take a tower on our map > defending their own keeps.

This is a pretty epic match at the moment.

Never seen SM switch so often earlier today as well! We (Aurora) took it from Underworld. Then Drakkar took it from us minutes later then I hid in the inner section of the castle, and ported my team back in to recapture. After that red retook it I believe and then us Aurora again… then blue got it back. Was pretty darn fun.

And Drakkar. WTF with the siege on the top floor haha. That was hilarious and annoyingly effective. For those not sure what i’m on about, when Drakkar saw they couldn’t hold SM they (twice) built mass siege on the top floor so they could have a presence in SM.

At this rate, glade and gunnars hold will swap next week so drakkar watch out :P we will be going for your slot

Survive the prime time and you can beat them On EB most of us on Aurora Glade spend our time defending as well as we can and tend to hold our own corner more or less, and have some guys capping supply camps. But sometimes Drakkar get really organised and it’s really impressive what they can do.

Then night hits and there’s nobody left for them. It’s kinda sad to see.

I am an AG player and I have to admit this match up and last one has been really fun. More so because the matches have been pretty evenly matched and rather than being snow ball’d it has started being evenly competitive. I do not know if the removal of Orbs has caused this or other factors.

It wasn’t long ago we were taking a kicking at the result of Millers Sounds etc. I really did think after the bad few weeks that we had, the inevitable ship jumping was going to happen. But a big thanks to the major pvp guilds who have stuck around to help newcomers to WvW like myself and help the server as whole in moving forward. As a server I feel we are definitely working together more and communicating alot more than ive seen previously and hopefully we can continue progressing in the manner we have done.

I look forward to more fun battles with Drakkar and Underworld before the tick over happens.

Its a shame underworld can only really fully populate 3 out of the 4 areas right now, if we had more guys we could make this even more closer!

Thanks for the fun this week anyway :P If AG moves up we still get Drakkar, until we beat them and move up to fight AG again

Hey I’m from AG !

What I know is Drakkar made us upset and lots of commanders decided to focus on you to down your score. We have actually few focus on UW because they moslty sticking there own map so they aren’t really dangerous on other battlefields.

From my PoV I saw and participate into epic fights between DL vs UW (it was like a 3vWvW :p). So GG and keep fighting but UW guys you really should try to leave a bit your map (it will even more rewarding for you), I know AG map is hard atm but you can manage stuff in DL (and you did it tonight by taking some keeps).

I would like to contribute here and say that from UW only 2 WvW guilds of anything near considerable size moved to Gandara ;)

Nice to see there are less critics etc. there now, and the attitude is positive :)

Would also like to say truthfully that I felt rather bad about leaving UW, even moved back and got everyone in my guild ready to – the only problem was when I got there I recognised barely anyone, found New random Commanders without communication or tactics (more) which is a big thing for me, considering I played on there since BWE1 :(

Drakkar Lake here. We really had an epic Fight yesterday evening against you both. First the Fight with Underworld at Bluelake and then defending the middle keep against AG. It was quite hard with you at every Gate but still epic. Even as you stood at the northwest Gate and we took Down your catapults with portals. Even If we died in our portals, we just took you from behind then.
Dont be angry at us for Standing in One Spot and using Portals, If you want to get the brackets up, you gonna experience this more.

srsly, I’m thinking about moving to some US servers, so I don’t have to bother with this tagged kitten anymore. (Even if I leave DL, then it’s gonna be the opponents who are severely handicapped by the tag)
There’s enough organized germans to bring one server to the top listings in spite of being a tagged server. By no means, DL can do the same, sadly.

Really good fight in Stonemist last night AG versus UW. It took us about an hour non stop running back to wear those defenders down and finally cap it. All the better because it wasnt just zerg versus zerg. In the end we had to use multiple portals to get up to the top of Sm just so we could slowly work our way back down taking out siege and even then the lord fight was still a close one, with half of our team dead. Props to the defenders Underworld, you really did make us work for it.

I had so much fun last night, some epic fights with both Underworld & Drakkar lake.

Especially the fight trying to attack the garrisson on drakkar lake was tons of fun, even though AG lost the first round I had an epic time fighting you guys.

And don’t worry about using Mesmer portals, you use it to your advantage and it works. We used them as well to get rid of a zerg in front of our bay.

underworld is a good server for us on drakkar, we are farely even. so I will enjoy the upcoming week
hopefully gunnar has no american guilds on… we dont have a nightshift so far.

Gotta agree with this man here, Drakkar and us Underworld are pretty even. Although I give it to them that they can establish some pretty impressive attacks, like yesterday in UW Border.

Next week is going to be fun after the weekend as I know UW wont have much presence as its the event weekend and Invite your friend so most of us will be there. We are a PvE server after all.

But I will be holding ground in UW Border, so come there to face the wrath of my hammer if you dare ;P

Drakkar Lake here. I’d like to congratulate both UW and AG for the good fighs. Thank you both for giving us lots of opportunities to progress and learn.

One of my personal highlights was the garrison fight that was mentioned above. Being a WvWvW-newbie, I nervously practiced my first mesmer portals at the sight of you AG guys (especially Unity out there was giving me the creeps ) and realized I could do it and how effectively it worked. Thanks for the good fights, the wins and losses and tons of experiences made this week. I look forward to continue the experience against Underworld and Gunnar’s Hold in the upcoming battles.
