Guild Wars 2

My server isn’t doing badly, we’ll come in second, though first place will have absolutely run away with it (they have players up all night, and we frequently have the outmanned buff). After playing with a few guildies, and it getting to around 11pm, we’re not doing great on our home borderlands, both keeps and garrison are in opposition hands, but we had the towers.

At this point a member of one of the larger guilds comes in to the map, starts trash talking and telling us to leave so his guild can join. How we should log out, or go to another map for an hour while they take everything back for us.

I couldn’t help but feel disheartened after spending the majority of my day doing what I could to cut off supplies, ensure dolyaks get where they need to, taking/defending camps and the occasional tower. Heck I even had a few WvW fort buffs up for the camps/towers for the past 12 hours, as well as spending a few gold on upgrades/equipment.

Being told to leave stinks, and while kittens are expected on the internet, is this the sort of thing I’m just going to have to get used to in WvW?

ive personally never encountered such behavior, i assume it does happen from time 2 time, but to be honest he sounds like a bit of a “too big for his boots” kinda guy who takes the game way too seriar.. dont listen to him and keep having fun. you may want to remind him that you also payed for this game.. if he dont shut up….. then conjecture that his mother may do questionable deeds for money!

Just ignore him, or better, be spiteful and tell him nope just to watch him throw his 10 year old hissy. Plain and simple no body or guild owns WvW you have as much right to be there as anyone else.

Next time he tells people to leave so that his guild can get in to take everything back….simply tell him “If your guild can dominate a top ranked team….then why not move your guild to a lower populated server so that you guys can always que up together?”….Thats what RUIN did and look at that guild…theyre in like 4th place.

To be honest, the vast majority of people on the server are really nice, which is probably why the attitude shocked me so much today. I don’t intend to move us and that’s not a thought that crossed my mind.

We have our fair share of too-big-for-their-boots commanders, and equally we’ll have people who will tell the commanders that they’re doing it wrong, so I can understand the commander frustration sometimes.

I haven’t seen anything go on quite like your post… nobody is calling for blocks on other people, most of the chat is useful tactical information for us.

You have the same right to be there. Frankittenell him to take a hike and take his guild with him.
I am not a fan of the puzzle because it can draw resources away at needed times but if that is what they want to do so be it.
Dont be pushed around.

Ignore /block him and tell other people to do the same.

Talk to the guys GM and confirm that he’s aware that member is being a jerk. If he is the GM or the GM doesn’t care just make sure he knows his guild needs the pugs and randoms more than they need his guild so he might want to develop a better attitude.

Sorry to hear that OP, never been told to “GTFO” before… only thing I ever heard from a big name guild was a boradcast over map about not taking supply from forts. Hell I’d think more bodies the better! if nothing else than to act as a meat shield…
