Is there some reason than Anet does not want to make badges earned in WVW deposit automatically into inventory? I think we can all agree that there have been numerous times we have left loot bags laying scattered all over as the circumstances of WVW do not always allow them to be collected. I can not personally think of a downside to Anet allowing some sort of auto deposit of the badges. What are your thoughts?

Unless they truly want us to lose stuff, what’s the problem with one more currency auto-stored?

I still fully support a true auto-loot system. The only reason I can think of would be bots. Like other things (DR) this only hurts the player base more than the bots. Easy enough to program an extra “spam F” into a bot than it is for a player to be running around killing everything, have to stop and turn around to pick up a bag if it’s even noticed.

Badges? BADGES? WE DON NEED NO STEENKING BADGES!

I wonder how many precursors have been left on the battle field in WvW?

Not to rabbit trail this thread though, seems like they’re thinking about it with the grayed out “Deposit” on badges when you right-click them. They may not though, you get so many that you’d fill up the 250 slot pretty quick and only save yourself 1x bag/bank slot.

Instead of directly filling your inventory, maybe a bank that automatically stores all of your drops so you don’t have to stop and deposit while in the middle of a fight.

Also please turn badges into an actual currency so I can actually use my bank for something -.-

IMO, full auto-loot for WvW, and the Loot Bags for PVE. Both systems as they currently exist make it fairly easy to miss loot. In WvW there’s not always the time or opportunity to stop and search for bags, and in PVE since there are no bags, sometimes it’s just plain difficult to see where the loot is. I would love to be able to hold down a key in PVE and see those yellow letters “Bag of Loot” or even just “Loot” over all my drops. As it is now, I scurry around over all the remaining corpses, just in case I missed the sparkles, and it’s a pain.

I dunno. I kinda like that aspect of the game. I think it somehow enhances the reality of the scale that you are fighting on having the victors pick over the dead bodies of the fallen after the battle is through. I do, however, wish that anything you hadn’t picked up before you died would find its way back to you when you res at an asura gate.
