What would you say if the badges could be converted to temporary boosts, akin to the combat/armor boosters? Active in WvW only, quite pricey, giving slight but noticeable boosts.
Imo, if balanced right, it would clear the huge heaps accumulated by the EotM farms quite nicely and would open for Anet a window to introduce some other, interesting ways to spend those…

I probably wouldn’t use them and would just buy siege and sell them on the trading post like I currently do.

The return rate for this is not particularly amazing now, is it… :P My uneducated guess is that the value of badges would rise a bit if such a sink was introduced, so your siege would sell for a bit more than now.

It’s an interesting idea, and I certainly wouldn’t be against it (might be useful to have more boosters I can use in dungeons and Fractals), but I’m not sure if ANet would want it changed since this would “devalue” boosters even more than they already are. (Players usually groan when they get boosters from Black Lion Chests.)

If it was magic find boosts then sure, but combat boosts would start a riot I’m sure, we already have plenty of ways to “power creep” with guard stacks and borderland bloodlust, enough is enough.

Interesting idea. MF boosts, or Karma would be cool.

Trade a lot of badges for some item that makes your exotic have ascended stats.

Well, I was not sure if those boosts should leave WvW, with the PvE content being so simplified and easy already, but this is just a rough concept, details to be perfected.
If it’d work out, karma could get the same treatment – as a currency for temporary buffs, not affecting the economy in any particularly noticeable way.

And I’m not in favour of buing/modifying items with these, the farm got out of hand a long time ago, some people have simply too much of this stuff to offer direct material gains for it.

If you want something to spend Badges of Honor on, then Buy Alpha Golems, and convert them into Omega golems, and sell them on the TP. We dont need any more stat creep in WvW
