I got hit twice for 17.5k by a normal ballista the other day..working as intended?
I know I got crap graphics but you should still be able to see combat log.

I get hit hard from ballistas too but I think it’s fair for 0 extra toughness and cloth armor.

Well I got 1750 toughness w/o Orb bonus.
Furthermore this is not even a Superior ballista.

the thing is throwing a telephone pole at you. In all reality, you should be insta dead and skewered into the ground.

That seems pretty whack. I’ve shot people with a superior ballista while holding a couple of orbs and the best I would do is about 9k a shot. 17k shouldn’t be possible.

Unless… crit-related stats apply to siege? Seems ridiculous, but I dunno what else would be the cause.

This. The Ballista can do mad damage against a stationary (read: dumb) target. Against moving targets, arrow carts do it better.

4-8 k would be a normal hit on a stationary target,but you would obviously already know this Sir (read:ignorant)

standing still is not smart
but i self have never done 17.5 on a player only 15k on a ram with skill 3 taking rams out is nothing ^^ and i love that tower

Nope..even with unlikely 25 stacks of Vulnerability e.g =25% extra dmg..its way over the top.

That sounds quite lot for i got hit something 11k when i was trying take down one.. yeah they hurt quite a lot but what grinds my gear is that they can shoot behind.. flanked one and stayed behind cballista all the time and still died after gettign 2 hits from it combined with some other enemies attacking me.

Any dev. or admin. want to comment on this?
Are this within reasonable damage from a ballista?

I wear fully orange gear with pvp weapon and pvp backpack.
1750 toughness unbuffed,all armor repaired.
I dont like speculating in hacking etc. and i dont know whats on “the market” but this was supposed to player v. player and not being oneshot by siege-engines in endgame gear.

Dont think so..I have never seen any boons on siege machines..and even if they did I would like to know the combo that made this possible : )

Any particular reason to censor absolutely EVERYTHING in your screenshot? It’s not like your life is in danger because you made a thread about a game on the internet.

Wow thats crazy, and you’re a guardian too, so its not like your some clothy glass cannon.

I only get hit for 4-5k when stationary as a warrior, so i have no idea how you got hit for 17k. Even max vulnerability wouldn’t add that much.
