FA & TC had a good rivalry at one time when we were both in T2. Although we most likely won’t be facing each other for awhile, our hate still runs deep towards them.

BG hates TC, because TC is now more SoR than TC.

This isn’t true at all lol. Most of BG doesn’t hate TC, I obviously can’t speak for everyone on the server. Though it will seem that way in matches to come for obvious reasons.

Also a lot of BG hated a lot of guilds and player on SoR but it was a necessary hate. It breaded some of the most intense fights I’ve ever experienced.

The SoR BG rivalry was the best that i was part of. With out SoR, Blackgate would not be the server it is today. SoR had a lot of very good guilds that pushed BGs guild to be better. While there is probably some hate left, there is still a lot of respect for SoR.

I can respect this. I played on SoR for a long time and I have to thank BG for giving us great fights. I could log on anytime 24/7 and find plenty of guilds/players to fight against.

I remember when SoR’s guilds/commanders would hit BG like 90% of the time. There was some hatred there for sure. But that’s what makes pvp more competitive/fun, reminds me of my days playing daoc.

There was a great rivalry between SoR/BG. It reminded me of the yankees/red sox rivalry of the 80s/90s. Both the players and fans on each side literally HATED each other. I remember getting kicked out of a NYC bar for wearing a red sox hat lol. Being a sox fan it’s only natural to look at BG as the yankees (17? championships) and SoR as the red sox(3 recently).

I liked the SoS/SBI/JQ (in this order) rivalry back before WvW became a numbers game! :P

Capping maps, small 20man skirmishes in Oc waiting for 7pm for WM and FoO to log in with 40+ and play the RUN TO THE HILLS game. Game was so much more fun with culling.

TC/FA, just two different servers and I think both routinely got what they wanted out of the matchups. It went on a little too long, though.

I’m fairly fond of the the rivalry between red, green, and blue. Red is has no skill and is carried by their PvDoor night crew. Blue refuses to run in blobs fewer than 60, and I see their solo roamers dying to sentries. Green is outnumbered all the time but still wipes every single red and blue blob it comes across — definitely the highest average player skill among all the servers.

second would be ebay vs mag the pvf was very amusing to read.

I will say, the bottom rung rivalry had some fun moments. (I’m from Kaineng)

I miss this rivalry for all the epic fights with some high quality Guilds like Bull/Kaz, ECL , GH, VoTF, RG, WL, ZDs, nd so on – and also for months worth of match-up thread wars espexially Sacrx vs Troma <3
Eventually we would get split up, but it seemed like we were destined for each other lol.

There’s too many old Videos to link from the many Guilds back then, none from me personally cause I was a Guidless EB pug back then.
That was really the Golden Age of Tier 1 in the EU.

A real rivalry is when an officer in your server’s largest wvw guild turned out to be a spy from your rival server all along. I only know of one rivalry where this happened.
