Guild Wars 2

Hi all,

I got Guild Wars 2 on launch and I joined up Piken’s Square as I read that it is an unofficial RP server, but it seems that RP happens on all servers. But I was thinking of transferring to a server where a lot of players do WvW (PvP etc).

So I was looking for advice on a busy server for WvW (PvP) and PvE.

if you want the busiest aka number 1, go henge of denravi.
if you want no queue time, go devonas rest or kaineng.

Those are US servers.

On the EU side I would recommend Gunnar’s Hold (my guild might open up for recruitment again soon) or Far Shiverpeaks. Desolation is good, but a bit zergy.

SBI is the abbreviation for Stormbluff Isle, who is winning the top tier US matchup right now. We tease them because we love them

There are some threads you might search for in this forum that list the server rankings (actually right up top) and the server queue lengths. Between those two posts, you should be able to make a decent guess of a server that might fit your desires.

Ah yea I should of said EU servers my bad.

Just for gods sake dont go to us, everything else is fine.

Far Shiverpeaks is best english WvWvW server.

No please, not MORE players to FS…
Youll be in queues for hours, and during weekdays, the quality on the players there is severly lacking. Its really really bad with all the server transfers.
It really sucks out all your will to WvW with all the bad players there now.

The only time during the week that FS cares about WvW is during the weekend.
The rest of the week we dont bother to much becouse Vizunah just nightcaps and there no way for us to keep up.

During this whole weekend we were in lead during the days, then Viz nightcaps, we had to take back the lead during the day, then Viz nightcaps again.
Only differance is, during weekends, we can hold he nightcapping back a bit.

Any other recommendations if FS is extremely full?

Those guys are the only ones looking for a cat lost by one of their 12 members in the middle of a besieged Fort.

Good advice there, so you think it’s best to stay on Piken Square, don’t the other servers RP as well?

Ruins of Surmia could always use more members.

We’re forced to abandon 2 BL because of our low population and our own is usually only half full and the commander tag doesn’t work there.

But we can do some nice work in EB… In primetime. They usually just cap it back during the night and upgrade it completely. which we then always destroy later

definitely Devona’s Rest if you get a coordinated NA/Oceanic Alliance…..

Henge of Denravi is currently the top ranked server. Many on HoD claim that they are on top because their player base is teh best. Clearly, joining the HoD server will therefore make you one of the best wvw pvpers.

I’m on SF. We’re a mid-tier server. Nothing spectacular, pretty average if that’s what you want heh.

But OMG. I’ve been debating on moving to Tarnished Coast for awhile now. The RP sounds fun.

There is even RP in WvW… at times at least.

Okay, I’ve only experienced it once. But, it’s there!

We were upgrading one of the forts so a few of us started gabbing, emoting, and telling tales of victory over the evil and vile invaders from Ehmry Bay.

Oh god that sounds so awesome ><.
