Best T1 Server?
What what…
should know the rest of that song.
It depends on your play style and method. If you love playing fair and hard then consider Yaks bend.
Note, Yaks seems to be suffering a near eternal ‘Groundhog Day’ effect. Almost every week fighting Fort Aspenwood and Sea of Sorrows. Same seems to be true of Jade Quarry, Tarnished Coast and Blackgate.
If you want some variety in your enemies then it’s probably better to avoid the top servers.
What exactly do you mean by best? What is your playstyle, timezone, focus etc.
Honesty is not insulting, stupidity is.

Don’t bandwagon to JQ, unless you want to karma train. It’s a bandwagon server these days for those that want to win. BG has the strength to match JQ if their numbers had incentive to log on (like a wvw tourney), but muster a similar strength at best, to TC.
So much of this depends on time slot and preferred style. I am on JQ NA prime. I do not think my server is inherently “better” or worse than TC or BG. You need your opponent otherwise there’s no game.
All T1 servers do stupid stuff. Assjams, nuthugging, pin sniping, open field siege etc. JQuery BG and TC all guilty of it at different times. All T1 servers are vastly outnumbered on the map at some point.
There’s some fighting guilds on each server though. Find one that suits your personality and I don’t think there’s some huge difference.
Join server: JadeTarnishedBlackQuarryCoastGate ? I think they might have actually fused by now. :p
More serious, no idea, not familiar with T1 at all. But I am curious what your definition of "best server" means ?

I thought I heard all the T1 servers fix their matches to all stay in T1 anyways- so not sure if any of them are really “the best” anyway. But “best” depends on what you’re looking for. A lot of the top-tier servers are simply the most populated ones, which means they have really big queues almost all of the time, and fighting is always blobby.
If you’re looking for less queues and more mid-small fights, you probably want to avoid T1 and T2, but also ask servers what they’re looking for. One thing I know is that when people see a good goldylox server (y’know not too big, not too small, not too blobby, good fights), it becomes a bandwagon, and that ruins it because it gets flooded and after a couple of months everyone abandons it for the next goldylox server anyway.

Tier 1 being rigged… yes and no. I won’t go into it but there’s some manipulation going on, but there’s also a lot of people like me who ignore that noise and just go fight. That said BG does historically control the tier, if JQ or TC win it’s because BG let them.
All three have 2 v 1 against the other at one point or another to try to push them out of the tier. It never works. People think it’s about having good fighters, but it’s not it’s coverage. I don’t think anyone in t2 has half the coverage the weakest t1 server has. Hi Australia and New Zealand. Love you.
Tier 1 is self sustaining at this point. If one of the three weakens, people transfer in from lower tiers. The inertia is incredible.
The thing is, having more players in your tier means you have better chances of finding your fix regardless of whether you roam havoc team fight or ktrain blob. There’s always someone to kill. When it’s not golem week at least.

Meh I’m going to disagree with you on that. I mean I’m sure T1 servers all probably have the most players and biggest coverage and that’s part of why they stay in T1 (but also, the reason they’re constantly so full is because they’re T1), but I don’t think a full server necessarily is the best for everyone.
Some of my friends and I traveled to T2 for a while, but y’know all the big queues and big blob fights became tiring really quick. Now we’ve moved into a T3 server which I think everyone is enjoying a lot more, because we don’t have to worry about queues all the time (which gives you more mobility to switch maps and plan raids without adding in time to wait in queue, and it doesn’t suck if you disconnect). There also seems to be more variety in fights here, you can have good roaming fights without being zerged down all the time, and our medium-sized guild can still get pretty even fights. I think the only thing I don’t care for on my server is that nobody cares about PPT and I have to admit I do enjoy scouting, but it isn’t exactly useful when nobody cares about PPT.
So I mean I think that for the OP, they need to take those kinds of things into consideration if they want to transfer. Queues, size of fights, etc.

Fair enough. I would rather in be T3 with a good guild than in T1 with a lousy one.
Also FWIW I like fighting 50 people with 30 people and I love it when two thirty man zergs smash into each other. When BG gets riled up and comes at you with a 40 strong hammer train that’s good times. I appreciate that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.
But I have roamed and havocked in T1 too.

If you want WvW competition in NA, the best bet is T3 these days.

It’s more of T1 having push weeks. Push weeks for one server increases WvW activity across all three servers in response. So the back and forth is more about burn out than anything else. You can’t push and play a lot of O.T. every week.

I’d probably say go EU. NA is getting to stagnant to be competitive. pick any server in top 9-10 rankings.

YB is the new server to be on.
it’s a rigged tier. not much to be expected.
Archeage = Farmville with PK
Read the other WvW forums. Silver Gold and Bronze tiers are all at least partially rigged.
Again, I remind everyone it’s an option to simply play and not care. I can neither implement nor stop these plans. None of us can unless we happen to be individuals who control a mega guild.

Yeah, I’m planning to move to YB…
I would play in a EU server, but I’m from Brasil and my ping will be much higher.
I’m on CD we just moved up to t3 (Finally) but it was during golem week so most (if not all) of the fight weeks are taking this week off. From what I have heard t3 is where the fight guilds are at
