Best elementalist dps?
Look at the qt optimized dps page on reddit for all your dps needs.
However, since this is what I do (staff tempest) in WvW: I put force and air. And generally follow the qt guide. Staff dps is all power so you want scholar and Zojjas.
For the most part I stay fire, drop lava fonts and meteor shower on cooldown. When glyph of storms is off cooldown, swap to air and use it and overload, then back to fire.
If group is having issues, use water for a bit then back to fire.
When running, stay in air. When running away use air five to create obstacles and earth four for the same, then back to air. Also water four cuz ice patch slows them. Also lightning flash.
If you got swivel on a button, use fire four to run away as well. All these help you stay alive and knock people down. Get good and be ready for salty tears. I often end up targeted over the rest of my team because of the number of people I down.

the address for this is? my current setup is air/force. but i’m only seeing 2.5 to 4k dmg as an average strike and low 8k dmg on crits. in application the air sigil only gave me 700 damage once about every 5th attack(at least that’s what the combat log said) is this really more damage then 25 stacks of bloodlust or dmg boost from frailty or ferocity boost from cruelty?

You should see 5k ticks from meteor shower. About 4k from lava fonts. I actually run fresh air on mine but I should not be; I just like to overload air when running away because it is a massive (size and damage) obstacle. I am also not running scholar so you would see more if you did.
As to air sigil… Everyone raves about it for any dps class so I use it.

ok followed the staff ele dps on reddit. i did not get the same dps as in the video. he labels it a 49k build but it’s actually an 11k build(largest dmg in one damage tick) in the setup he uses basically my traits. for sigils he had force and accuracy. when i did this i got 2-3k lavafont ticks and 4-5k meteorshower ticks. he got 11k meteor shower ticks and 4-5k lavafont ticks. my old build got 8k meteor ticks and 2-3k lavafont ticks. my numbers were calculated the same way the video did on pvp golem.
Update:went to test bloodlust sigil. no way to build max stacks in pvp lobby so i was unable to test dps for precision/power/ferocity stacking sigils.
They used the new golem in the special forces training area. So they set a bunch of class boosts and boons they expect a raid party to have so the numbers are much higher. It is still the most damaging build just you need those boosts to reach the 49k.
Totally possible in WvW but you might need an organised group.

The problem I learned with stat stacking sigils is they require you never go down so you maintain them. Thus, overt time, the others are better.

I can manage that, if i couldn’t i wouldn’t be using scholar runes. my record on no death is about 4hrs in a zerg heavy area. having meatshields(other allied players) helps. this came about because all i can count on when talking about other wvw players is that they have hp so meatshield.
but i have no way to determine dps at max stacks of power/precision/ferocity. vs any other sigil setup.

Yes, I love my fellow meatshields up until the enemy notice me taking down half their team and rush through. If you can stay up that long, you are clearly better than I (or the enemy does not catch on and target you first). For an ele though, I am not sure if I would go ferocity or power.
There is a graph someone made once with optimal ratios but I would not know how to find it now. It is on the gw2 forums somewhere.
You can get close by enabling class specific boosts with the golem in sfta. Spotter from Ranger is 150 precision instead of the 250. Assassins presence from revenant is similar for ferocity. Not sure about one for power but I would do that to test.

I use staff, and force and accuracy sigils, but my power and crit chance change with my attunements. Normally in zergs I run fire, a blast of fire 4 then rotating air and earth to escape.
My stats are close to yours, about 2650 power but only 45% crit chance. I tick about the same as you on damage. But I do switch occasionally to d/d where I can hit crits on burning speed up to 10k and fire grab at 20k. Can’t change weapons though, so I mostly stay with staff and dance around the back lines.
I sacrifice a little precision in my build for toughness and health, since I seem to run to the front way too much. I can usually get up there, cast a lava font, flame burst and meteor shower then blast back into the crowd with burning retreat. I play on the back line until I regen and repeat.
I also use lava font and flame burst to quickly mop up stragglers as we advance, which frees up the front lines and mid guys to keep pressure at the front. The staff ele is great at that and though lousy in the front, is excellent as support.

^ My staff ele build. It has high DPS and pretty good sustain at the same time.
