I think a standart guardian zerg build beats a standart warrior zerg build on both gear required and simplicity.
Hammer warrior. You will fit in well in solo, or small grps, zerging, blobing, gvg, and anything else. Hardest class to master would prob. be an ele
Boon spam staff guardian and just spam staff1 to tag4bag.
staff guardian spam 1 with empowering might
staff guardian spam 1 with empowering might
staff guardian, press 1111111F111111F… tag galore
A Skritt is dumb. A group of Skritt are smart.
A Human is smart. A group of Humans are idiots.
Staff/Whatever Guardian or Hammer/Somenthing+Warhorn warrior.

Warrior, Guardian, Thief in that order
Warrior is tops.

Ranger. No pressure.
Staff guardian. Press 1 to tag and occasionally press other buttons if you feel like it.
Warrior with hammer – your team does not rely on you activating utility skills for them. You’re completely self-reliant and self-sufficient.
A landing you can walk away from just wasn’t fast enough.
Warrior if you wanna do something good.
Ranger if you don’t wanna feel shame about losing horribly everytime.
Wells necro, lazy, ranged and good loot.
Warrior
You can use hammer like how some people said or if u wanna go range use a longbow and spam 3 and burst, that gets you a lot of tagging also for loot
Guardian, Warrior, Ele, Necro… all meta all the time. Faceroll for the win.

I play both, warrior and guardian. Guardian need a lot more skill rotation for survive.
And IS NOT good or useful in organize group/zerg BUT if you have trouble playing this game you can use double endure pain and double balance stance if you want.

Altruistic Healing and a utility bar full of shouts…. There, you no longer need skill to survive as guardian. Only people nearby.

I did play both too… and I guess you are doing the staff thing wrong then. All you need is empowering might with altruistic healing and around 30% crit chance.
With warrior you have a 10 sec godmode if traited, but if you are bad, you will be a lootbag. Other profs have 0-6 seconds.

You have 11k health base (guardian) vs 18k health base (warrior). A lot of immunities (berserker stance, DOUBLE and AUTO endure pain and balance stance) AUTO healing with signet. AUTO clear conditions, immunity vs cripple/chill/immobilize (food/runes/trait or warhorn) HIGH mobility (sword/horn) to get out of bad positioning.
If you want a EASY class, and you want to build it for a REALLY REALLY easy play, you get a warrior. AH healing is great, 0 × 6 6 x is a great tanky build, but not easier than a warrior.
+1 to the warrior… stupid simple to play and relatively low bar to master.

This is
Nomads GS Regen Ranger or Staff Boonspam guard or Shout Heal warrior – If you go down in any of that, you should commit seppukku- These options will be THE most idiot proof choices you get.
GS Regen Ranger has:
AOE Swiftness
AOE Regeneration (around 290hp/s + signet addin 150 ontop of that)
Evade on AA
6 sec invuln (post feature build)
32 sec stability (post feature build, 24 seconds pre feature build)
A waterfield
Shout Heal warrior has;
AOE Might, Fury, Swiftness
AOE Healing (strong at that)
AOE Condi Cleanse (1 condi on 5 allies + 1 more from trait)
Banner Rez
A hammer
Guardian has:
BOONS, ALL DEM BOONS
A book that will rock your socks
A glorified stick that summons lootbags after a battle
A 8 buttons-i-win approach. If you gotta press more then 8 buttons to stay alive and tag stuff, you are absolutely doing it wrong.

Honest answer is hammer warrior you dont have to be good and you will be very useful.

Anyone who thinks a guardian is the easiest class to play, obviously has not played one. Btw, altruistic healing isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Your honestly better off with monks meditation so that contemplation of purity not only cleanses all condis, but heals based off healing power. Pair that with save yourselves and you get a guardian that can cleanse everyone’s condis without nuking themselves. If you run that with 5 trait points into your virtue line it will also allow you a nice burst. Do the math and make the comparisons and you will see what I mean.
Make a warrior OP, they have it made in the shade. I hear Anet sends them free piña coladas everytime they reset a fight too.

0/0/6/6/2 Magi/Cleric Guardian here… As long there are people around me to let me heal from buffing I don’t even have to touch my “Back to 100% hp signet” (kitten shelter). I don’t have to time my dodges if I don’t want to because I can use them for healing instead (Thank you Selfless Daring). Conditions? No problem, Purity of Voice will give me boons instead (And If I decide to use runes of soldier it’s even better).
What you said about needing skill again?

We’re talking about zergs here.
And TBH if you’re running COP/SY/Monk’s focus in a zerg, well, that’s why you’re having trouble.
In the end, I actually vote Necro as long as you know how to enter Death Shroud. Thing with them is that you don’t need to be at the front line and endanger yourself. Just pew pew pew and you have tons of hp buffer. Just set fast ground targeting, point at zerg and randomly push buttons. Failing that, there’s lol plague form.
for there you have been and there you will long to return.

Warrior is by far the easiest.
Guardian is a bit more difficult knowing when to do shouts, etc.
Both are easy compared to other professions.

Unless you run a medi-hybrid burst guard. Really effective, but difficult to do right.
And PU Mesmer is SO easy to play. I’ve won 1v4’s with PU. Probably why I never play mes anymore.
@ OP, well done….
Just for some clarification, warriors are easily made that have completely passive healing, passive condition removal and can spam control skills simply by attacking. All you need to do is point them in the right direction and attack. When you get knocked down, use a utility skill. When you are very low on health, use a utility skill.
Later on you can refine the warrior builds but out of the box it requires the most minimal skill to be tough, controlling and effective. Mastering the warrior is also fairly easy. Becoming good in duels against seasoned players is difficult which IMO is the only warrior blind spot.

The warrior is not going to be nerfed. Dont fight against it, just make one like me and be happy, my warrior gave me 6 months of trololo.

Warriors have been missing a big hitter that wasn’t channeled and we are about to get one. The nerfs are minor and more of an inconvenience.

I dun think gs will ever be a good option for zerging other then taggin with gs3, however if you want to tag, axe5 is better at it.
Hammer and healshout + defy pain is probably the most forgiving setup you can run. If you need more defense, run sword + shield for shield stance block.

So funny to see the majority pointing warrior as the easiest class to play WvW with group/zerg while it’s the hardest of all, unless your only job is hitting #4 and #5 off-hand warhorn.
To play the warrior class as it was meant to be in WvW, you gonna need some serious practice that requires a long time to get used to, from placement on the field for damage to smartness for survivability, not even counting lots and lots of thoughts and tries to make the right build to combine damage/crit and defense.
The right choice for you Victor is Guardian staff/sword+shield or gs.

Hardest of all? You’ve got to be kidding. I would certainly agree there is a huge different between a bad zerg warrior that doesn’t do much besides 1 spam and maybe cycle horn skills, and a good player that gets the most DPS and stuns out of the build, but there’s no way it’s harder than a necro or staff ele. The latter two have to ground target far more skills to maximize their damage, and have far more active use skills that require decision making on when, where, and how to use. Plus they have to make more decisions on individual positioning. and surviving gank focus when that’s a factor.
As for guardian vs. warrior in zerg difficulty, that’s hard to say. Guardians have a few more skills to actively use and longer cool downs on the x-factor skills like bind / ward, but they also can have 1 or 2 two panic buttons to block / invuln out of sticky situations, and have a laughable amount of personal sustain when traited to AH.

Ele would be the hardest. DnD needs to master (5skills x 4 attunements) + (4 various attunement swap spells+4dodge roll spells) + (4 skills in cantrips/healings/etc) + 5 more in FGS + Combo + CCs + live to tell the tale = over 40 mad requirements

Arcing Slice is about to become an AoE that does 2/3 the damage of the one of the hardest hitting attacks in the game. While it won’t replace ?/WH for shout builds it is a great weapon for DPS zerg warrior builds. Those two extra targets are going to be even better for might generating builds. Outside of zergs GS warriors are going to have a near Evis spike damager which is great for roaming and skirmish.
Currently off hand axe is useless. The attacks deal less damage than the mainhand axe base attack. Even post patch it will barely be comparable to main hand axe damage. Currently there is no reason to use the axe in the offhand especially when the warhorn is an incredibly good option.
