i would like it if anet change random garbage bag honestly every level up to something more static such as.

1 bag of random garbage
10 ranks 1 exotic
100 ranks 1 ticket to go buy ascend piece
1000 ranks 1 precursor at random.

this would promote more WvW because better loot.

no really, if you wvw enough you will get ascended boxes. Maybe not precursors though but those are not really BiS equipment anyhow.

It will promote server stacking and karma train. WvWers do it for the glory.

However, the menu is boring. Some pvers to pick off as an appetizer would be nice.

i can tell you i play WvW since hot release i seen maybe 1 ascend chest drop maybe i just have bad RNG lol.

i honestly just like to see more static results in loot over all this RNG garbage loot every chest i open.

Well, there is a bunch of static rewards from the reward tracks… The ascended drops are rng, just like the ascended drops on PvE.

Books for levelin’ for every 2nd reward, thats awesome . I have 750 but need moar.

I already get an ascended armor or weapon roughly every 100-150 wvw levels. Gotten ~8 I think from 800 wvw levels.

I get rares every 3-5 levels, exotics maybe every 20-30? I guess I never kept track.

Either way the drop tables are quite good when combined with the rewards tracks, which have given me a handful of ascended as well.

For us who been in the game for so long, ToK are useless, true. But the tomes are used in new accounts to level up now that WvW no longer award actual exp. In fact I’ve been using them a lot in this account.

I wish we could turn them unto somenthing else useable for people who no longer need to level up.

He said usable. Spirit shards are a junk currency that’s impossible to run low on unless you’re actively trying to.

Turn them unto a currency to buy more useless stuff… That’s like swapping six for half dozen. /slowclap

Useless stuff, ok, stuff you need for legendaries, for ascended weapons/armor, for superior siege.. completely useless – we need more insta shinies.

I’m running low on them from time to time as I craft a lot of stuff – and you can also use them to make gold.

what I do with tomes: create a new character, level him up with tomes, get the levelup rewards:
2 unidentified dyes
1 copper doubloon
1 exo
tons of crafting bags
tons of boosters
tons of exo equipment you can throw in mystic forge
delete character and repeat.

It’s not much you get out of it, but better than nothing.

I agree that level-up rewards could be improved by making them slightly better on higher ranks. So chance for exotic/ascended could be higher on higher levels. Atm the chance always stays the same no matter what rank you are. In fractals that is different. But with the reward track the rewards are good atm. so it isn’t really needed imho.

I’d say over the past 4 months or so… about 140 ranks, I’ve received 1 ascended armor box, and 2 ascended rings (both garbage condi stats – I main power based), but rings were good for alts i’ll never use, and the chest was knights, which was alright for my roamer.

I doubt they would ever drop a precursor into the mix. I’m okay with treasure atm, too much trash but it fuels enough gold for my daily things I do, and consumables and such.

Got the lover from a rank up chest.

I got 4-5 ascended armor/weapon chests and 35-40 ascended rings in 2250 rank-ups. Got around 10 ascended chests from the reward track since it was implemented.
