Whether they’re invunerable or not abusing the Lightning Surge bug to kill siege from an infinite distance (Lightning Surge is only intended to have 1200 range) is abuse.
Pretty gamebreaking bug too and I’m an Ele, the one that gets to use the spell to kill fleeing targes.

Actually that is a invuln zone unless you exploit jump over the north east side and run past legendary guards next to citadel.

Lightning Surge just has a tool tip error, its just out of date is all. Ive been trying to make sure everyone is aware that the ability is actually unlimited range with no LoS restrictions, all you need is to have a target. I expect they will update the tool tip in a patch coming up. Had a group of 5 or so HoD Ele taking out quite a few of the trebs i set up last night, figured i should take it upon myself to make sure every Elementalist on my server is aware of the tool tip error.

OK well they fixed the lightning surge exploit.
So we capture Dawns Eyrie and deploy siege equipment to take out the siege equipment blackgate deployed in the Invul Zone. Then we get elementalists standing in the Invul zone using lightning surge to take down our equipment. This exploit 1 needs to be fixed by Anet and 2 Blackgate should be ashamed of themselves. want proof heres the Photos
one random person in a guild that no one has heard of does not mean an entire server cheats, if that were the case i would be on here bad mouthing the dragonbrand server every time one of their lil peons used the surface in water bug to stay invuln.

OK well they fixed the lightning surge exploit.
Lightning Surge is (was, perhaps) bugged and people were ‘misusing’ that bug to destroy siege from far, far range.
Reported a number of people for it myself from a specific guild, but don’t know how ANet classifies it.
Just report it with details and hope ANet does something about it.
Supposedly it was fixed with the patch. I guess not.
Check the time of this post and the time of the patch.

not in the patch. I took a shot at a catapult build site sitting above a cliff, OOR with no LOS, it did 1350 dmg.
It was so high up there that meteor shower didn’t even make half way, that when I realized meteor shower is also a sphere…
1 guy does not equal Blackgate.
