I transferred over from a NA server to Desolation a week ago and I have to give props to Blacktide and [XAOC]. I love the never give up mentality I’ve seen so far. You guys have given our guild the best fights we’ve seen in WvW. We think your server is very good and will rise. Good luck to you guys in your next match. I have a feeling we’ll be meeting again.

[20.10.2012] Current match-up: Riverside vs Blacktide vs Seafarer’s Rest

It was an epic day. Thanks to our new wvw hardcore guilds, now we were finally able reach full capacity on one or two maps and not disperse forces on all maps. This was amazing. Screenshots say more than words.

One of interesting moments. SR build 8 siege golems and were going to attack garrison on Seafarers borderland, but they were not lucky to meet us and also golems were ahead. After 30 seconds: 4 golems were destroyed, 4 golems with low hp were saved, but we not seen their after.

Another excellent moment was when we took Riversides orb, they built here over 30 sieges. We destroyed them with several mesmer portals. And after while transferring orb we repeatedly safe it with help of portals.

One time we asking allies to built some golems. They seriously strive and if we would wait 30 minutes they would built 15-20 golems =)

Its early to draw conclusions. Usually we loss in point on weekend, but today was excellent day!

[21.10.2012] Current match-up: Riverside vs Blacktide vs Seafarer’s Rest

The second day was pretty good. We spent a lot of money, but it was worth it. All three borderlands at 5 pm still were ours, only some towers began to fall. As a result, yesterday gap in points from Riverside was 14K, today – 18K now and is growing.

One of the most epic moment today was fight on garrison. It was 5th hour of borderland defence. Suddenly, in TS one of commander says: “Our garrison on Blacktide was attacking, outer water gate is almost fall”. Due to teleport on keeps we catch to garrison when Seafarers were in lord room. Many of us fell, but resurrects here, because, only in few moments, teleport on garrison was unlocked, but this was enough for us. So in some measure we defend garrison with luck.

prime time is a relative thing.

prime time is when ever you are on.

XAOS are well disciplined and organise to hit the enemy , steal everything and fortify. they do this in what is outside prime time for players such as myself and other western Europeans because they are spread accoss 5 time zones with at least 3 hours difference from mine.

One of the great benefits of our move to Blacktide is the way our guild, the Unnamed can log on in our play period and have a fighting chase when when out numbered accross the maps.

I would like to applaud the cooperation over the weekend, we have had a good result from the first few days and this is down to a lot of people working together.

The best bit is there is still room for improvement.

I’d like to post a video (not my, but from [Xaoc] member) of one of the most epic moments of Sunday’s fight – OSC and some other guilds unexpectedly attacked our Garrison through water gates. It was heavy upgraded keep and we didn’t want to loose it)
Of course, we had some luck – during the fight waypoint was unlocked at once (about 10 seconds) and we were able to teleport directly to lord room. But another good thing – we had a waypoint on Bay, so we died, then quickly moved from Bay to Garrison, then died, then moved

[22.10.2012] Current match-up: Riverside vs Blacktide vs Seafarer’s Rest

For us Monday was an excellent day on points, but most of the day was so boring. Till 8pm on Seafarers borderland nothing happens, but after… We defend all 3 keeps, but unfortunately we lost garrison. It was very nice to warm-up after boring day.

In the morning with help of 7-8 golems we took SM and downgrade almost all Eternal (only 1 keep and 2 towers persist), it was a good sign. After this NoLimit, Health Potions and some untags successfully defend SM till 10-11pm.

Seafarers and Riversides borderland as usual hold well, but Blacktide fell. If speak at overall, we don’t relax and start preparing to battle with Desolations and Far Shiverpeaks. Today our current opponents were inexpressive, on first failures they gave up, but in the evening they gathered and showed good fights! And at overall this are very gaily.

Due to the one-sided nature of fights during prime-time, as of yesterday CIR has decided to start running alt-groups in WvW. This has provided us with a greater challenge and overall more fun battles and experience in WvW.

Yesterday we were also deployed in Riverside borderland, in line with the general consensus that Riverside is the main competition in this match and must be our primary target.

I believe it is good news that SR seized the opportunity and closed the gap while we were ignoring them, the final days of the match-up should prove to be a very interesting and memorable experience as all three servers fight hard and good for the 1st place.

Also big thanks and respect to Gabrrr from XAOC for helping coordinate the three-pronged attacks, his presence was vital in preserving Bay and Garrison until we all went to bed.

Running alts when it is quiet is a good move. keeps people interested.

Also echo the call out yo Gabrrr and would say thanks to Excellence for his help too.

Without negligence we would not have taken Seafairers Hills keep yesterday evening, both times.

I for one am not discounting Desolation, They were better last week against us than they where when I faced them on Gunnar’s.

I will wager they got better again this week.

Seafarers (who to be fair grossly overestimate their ability), were crushed in that tier. they had a terrible 110k points.

We will need to step up our game.

The real strengths of the oppostion are organisation and a tenacious attitude. this week we have face a number of hordes of disorganised rabble. Worse still they seemed to have quit already.

There are fewer quiters on next weeks servers. Idealy we need an influx from the us for the weekend.

Last night was good. All day SF were all talk on the forums. Yesterday I was on from 6pm until 10.30 local time in Seafairers. For the vast majority of the time we were leading. It got to the stage we would wipe one batch of Seafairers and they would leave the zone only for another group to arrive en mass. They would be dispatched in a similar fashion and leave only for yet another zerg to turn up. It was like cleaning up after an incontintent puppy.

There are those who talk and those who deliver.

Seeing Desolation rocket up the ratings I wouldn’t at all be suprised if they managed to actually reach tier1 for the next matchup.

In that case, our next matchup in Tier 2 would become:
- Elona Reach (DE)
- Far Shiverpeaks
- Blacktide

I think our main goal for that week should be to get a strong foothold in tier 2 while we work to get full time coverage.

That would be a tough match up but enough of next week.

Whats the score now?

It’s very doubtful that Desolation will get to tier 1 this week, we are gaining +117 points which as it stands will put us 40 points behind Elona. If you look at the US rankings you can see the kind of point difference you might need to get +160 points and I somehow doubt FS or Kodash will let us get that. Our only chance is for Arborstone to really pick up their game and dominate Elona so they drop another 40 points, which looks pretty unlikely at this point. We are going to need a total of two wins in tier two in order to move up, from the look of it ye are going to be in the same boat.

Guess you guys are stuck with us next week.

Free kills are fine, and I am enjoying the badges at the moment butafter all the talk we have heard this week and the lack of action, it will be nice to meet a server that can at least fight.

I suspect its not the losing you guys hate , more that you been beaten so comprehensively that the match is over.

You guys brought nothing to the table. We are counting down the days till we face a challenge.

Interesting thing guys is a lot of the trolls are first time posters. All they post are empty one liners.

Just be assured, beating you guys soundly is very satisfying. We are having fun as we play, not bad for a game without a sub.

Today went on schedule and we continue preparing to epic battle with Far Shiverpeaks. It may be that 3rd opponent in next match would be Elona Reach and Desolation goes to tier 1. We slowed down upgrades rate and saving our money, so loss more points, especially afternoon. Yesterday ~66k, today ~73k in evening despite loss of points.

Probably you posted this screen cutted at bottom because it its not 10 pm here but 10 am (gmt +0).
And as of other screens posted here, they are of no worth without accurate time relative to Greenwich. And all the assurances about that is the CET time are only leaves without figs.

Difference between CET and UTC is +1 hour.
Moscow time is CET +3 and UTC +4.
10 pm in Moscow:
* in Berlin (CEST, UTC +2) – 8pm
* in New York (UTC-4) – 2pm

What is not clear?

A Number of people were claiming certain results for their server so last night I kept a record of results. We were in Riverside Borderland last night.

Most of these figures are when the scores update, so they are the actual numbers that affect the score.

I play in UTC -1(BST)
In a number of these time slots Riverisde were in the lead.( Well played to them)

The delta between the two teams is +445 to Blacktide in this period.

There is an interesting thread, the scores close as it gets later. Seafairer lead for a 1 hour period, then Blacktide make a comeback.

In the period where they go into the lead Seafarers lead contracts each Quarter from a peak of 40, then it collapses.

At 10pm(11 UTC) Blacktide are back in the lead. Then I log of.

For large periods of the night Riverside were on top and aggressively advancing.
Seafairers biggest Delta is +75 at 21:42, they lose 80 pints in the next 15 minutes
Between 20.57 and 21.58 the score fluctuated.
What conclusions can we draw.

That there is no evidence for Seafarers claims of Stomping.

SFR is equal/slightly below for my evening play, which is usually until 22h or 23h, at 23h-00h they start getting ahead, when many people on our side are going to sleep or quitting for the night.

At 21h my times it is 22h in France, Germany and 23h in Croatia, Poland and Greece.

Why are Monday and Thursday OK and Tuesday and Wednesday not( I showed Tuesdays screen shots in a post above)?

I would do tonites but most of us are taking a break before teh reset to save gold and seige weapons and I am off to the pub after work with Colleagues.
