Hey guys Taelyin of Blacktide here with a cry to help for any decent wvw guild to come join us and give us a reason to fight.

For three weeks now we have struggled not just in the shadow of two other worlds but merely like a rat trying to scrape points by taking pathetic supply camps in a weak attempt to give us any form of points. We’ve had a lot of big losses guild wise from Blacktide and our fall from grace has been a very long and hard fall indeed. We are good people desperately trying to bring the fight back to wvw.

So if your daring, powerful guild looking to step up to the greatest challenge why don’t you come and give blacktide a hand? Because seriously….help T_T

I feel sorry for you guys, I really do. Its the situation which occurs when the easymoders move on, unfortunately

its not only BT, arborstone has also begun its demise,

this was expected. however, because of paid transfers this has escalated.

i fear you dont have enough time to bring back BT in competitive play, as its less than 10 days left for paid transfers to come into effect. and its human nature not to take any risks.

Well i do feel sorry for the people that played at Blacktide since the beginning.
I know how it feels since my server(Gunnars Hold) had many guilds leaving those months.
I do believe though that your major guilds brought this on themselves.
You were full of guilds that had no connection for you server.
They simply jumped to greener fields and so the “project Blacktide” failed hard.
I also believe though that dropping tiers isn’t the end of the world.
You will eventually find the tier you belong and the fights will become more enjoyable for you, because this is what matters.
Winning or loosing doesn’t mean a thing if you are not having fun.
I wish the decent remaining people of Blacktide, good luck.

Good luck on Ruins of Surmia to you and your ally, but don’t try to persuade other players to move, thank you.
The rest of the italian alliance, which was on Blacktide since the FIRST day of release (not joining later, like your guild, just because it was a glorious moment for the server) is gonna stay on Blacktide cause we are loyal to our server even if it’s a difficult moment.
Do not despair, we can be competitive again in a lower tier :)

It’s sad to see BT like this, after all the great fight we have make vs you.
It’s the same thing for AS now..

Um, thanks. I belive we met somewhere after server reset. For like few hours I was there with my guildmates. We were trying to make interesting fight with both of French servers. Sad thing is, there was like 12 of us (even with random guys, there wasn’t more than 15 of us) vs 30 people in zerg just like almost all the time.

Im just glad far shiverpeaks got back on track just in time before the closing of free transfers. GL to the rest of ya.

I do hope we can find our place in wvw its a literal nightmare trying to complete any form of map completion in wvw at the moment.

Yeah, better been exterminated by Jade Sea instead of be patient for a little queue to enter.
Tonight we tried to cover the map a bit after 1 AM with the new matching, we was hoping for a good start to encourage people to play. Our commander was the only one while the FR servers had night zergs of 30-50 players, and we had no one playing!!! Do they have canadian players to cover night? We can compete during night-time with these 2 servers again… It will be a horrible week in a bad moment for Blacktide :(

You dark shine guys are the only reason we have any points at all in WvW at the moment. If you want to add me to friends whenever i’m free i can pledge you my pistol to help you where i can!

I actually find it fun to see the ‘old titan’ BT falling down; some movement is there, the matchups are not stale, with the same t1/t2 all the time. Sad it’s because of transfers, but you got to top1 because of transfers as well in the first place, so yeah – what goes around, comes around.

Any cries for ‘help’ are actually silly, but i kinda understand how you feel now. Like hit by a train. It will take a while until you fall into the tier where you’re competitive enough, then until you truly reorganise the server and until you start winning, but there are servers showing it’s possible, so just don’t lose hope and… play for fun, not numbers.

Italian alliance? Why not Join the other Italians on the Italian server on FoW!

You will also get your chance to give those Guilds that betrayed you a right kicking as you will be fighting Vabbi and RoS on a regular basis

Lol, not true. The bandwagon has come at the end of the last rematch in tier 2, when was obvious our switch in tier 1, most of them moved away in few days when they understood that tier 1 was not the paradise that untill then stories saids.
More then 50% of the guilds on BT that brough up it, was from BT, so…

Lol, not true again. Project Blacktide, the alliance that was there, started around 10 days after the realease of the game, on Blacktide, when it was still a server in the middle of the ladder, 12th if I remember well and since that time wvw guilds worked to brough up it. The fail it’s been from pve players and pve guilds. When the situation started to be critic due a lack of turnover wvw players, no one of them help us. You know, people inside that alliance had a real life, we could not fight anymore all that hours just to be zerged or just to keep up the server for people who didn’t care about the faith of it, and about all the work behind it.
So we moved.

My guild joined Blacktide 9 days after the realease, such a bad guys we are. All this this loyalty could be shown before, when even the guilds present there before us, asked for help, but was turned down. Where was your first day loyalty there, in no place, just here when the games are over.

I am a Blacktide resident, and a transferree from Gunnar’s. Me and my WvW guild Intrepid [INT].

We transferred a few weeks after the major exodus from Gunnar’s -> Blacktide. After carefully deciding what was best for ourselves. Now just like everyone else, and especially those left at Blacktide. We too are thinking of if/where we are moving before jan 28th.

I just wanted to take this oppertunity to say I really enjoyed my time at Blacktide, and I don’t believe any of our members ever looked back after transferring. The determination of Vizunah and the enthousiasm of servers like Seafarers and Desolation are both a joy and a pain to fight. But out of all the different guilds and servers we have faced, three times a week, since august. The guilds from Arborstone [FR] like LNM, PSY, BL and MoS (more on that list, but it goes on and on) are by far the most challenging opponents I have faced. And if I may be so bold, I faced -a lot- of different groups and guild. It is a crying shame that server has fallen apart, even more so then Blacktide. They had the best Prime-Time EU WvW in my humble opinion.

I read people writing about FotM transferring and PvDoor nightcapping on these forums for months. It is true, I suppose, this plays a vital part of making it to the higher tiers. But having been in T1 for a long time before moving back down to T2,T3,T4 I can only say the difference between T1+2 prime time and everything below it is freaking -HUGE- from where I am sitting.

To our friends and allies from (Former)Blacktide. ThUn, CIR, DkR, Xaoc (international), WIC, RG, Nug, SFRJ, GF, XT and all the rest. An offical “Thank you, and hope we meet again” from my guild.

I am sure everything will change come jan 28th. I don’t expect any sympathy comming Blacktide’s way nor to the guilds that remain on it.

To the OP and any guilds left on Blacktide struggling with what to do. What my guild I can do for you is what we have always done. At least for this week Sunday/Monday/Wednesday (evenings). We’re out and about in WvW and I invite anyone interested to come along with their own guild or individually.

Wrong. Get your facts straight before you post, or don’t post at all.
Although it may be true, some people and guilds jumped on BT because it seemed to be winning (whatever that means in ANet WvW concept), the base and spine was already there and those were the people carrying BT to T1.
Don’t carelessly troll around and disrespect what those people did please… its no good sportsmanship to be honest.

My love to BT, to those that made T1 possible and those guilds and people still on there.

Those who stayed fought hard to for it, those who left not so much.

It is not about being in T1, if it is you probably should switch servers, and you will keep switching servers. It’s not about roflstomping the enemy to “rise a server in ranks”. But finding a good match up.

As soon as we found our tier, t7 and proud, we’ve stayed in it for 6 weeks. Last weeks matchup was the first week we turned back around (after Dzagonur ran through our tier and stomped on us a bit).

The server switching doesn’t help anyone. It will just upset the balance either way.

Focus on doing what you can with what you still have left, and wait to find the tier that fits you. You’ll get there, and on the way you’ll get 3-5 guilds join you and it will become a nice server to play with again.

ps. Whining about PvEers will not help you. Instead encourage the rest of the server to join you for server wide events in WvW and show individual “PvEers” that WvW can be fun.

Are you talking about the guilds that were present on BT on the day of the release or joined soon later but not having transfered from elsewhere, just joined the game ‘late’?

BT were always sub par – merely bolstered by offpeak pvdoor zergs. T4 is about right.

First day scores don’t count for much.

I mean according to that FS were going up 4 spots when I looked this morning.

The current difference between place 13 and place 18 is just 41 pts, it’s easy to jump over that.

Project Blacktide worked out wonderfully, we dominated for quite a long time and had an amazing group of guilds allied, and then people got bored. As they quit the game or went on break (like myself – I’ve only just gotten back to the game, would’ve come back a week earlier but had internet issues), the Project died a peaceful death.

Guilds went back to their original servers or to play with friends, after what i hope was a lovely time on Blacktide, and if i ever see any of the Project Blacktide guilds on the same or opposite servers, i’ll be sure to give them a wave.

I’m no longer on Blacktide either (and no, i didn’t return to my original server) but wish the people staying there, and the people who have gone to other servers than where i’m now, the best.

Jedahs, you have a problem. A drug problem. For some people its Meth or Heroine. Your drug is Europeans. You’ll suck any John’s todger for a Euro but we know how the story will end.

You can say whatever you want, but I really enjoyed my time on BT and I feel bad seeing it in this state. Had a great time, met a lot of people (some of which unfortunately split off to other servers). But the last few weeks were horrible, I can understand why the more hardcore guilds left. It kinda snowballed…

I don’t know the internal politics or what is happening with Blacktide. Can somebody comment on this forum what has happened and why?

Most of my WvWvW experience comes from past 2 months, playing for Blacktide. We are often outnumbered one to 3-20 against the enemy. And as everybody knows scoring kills is more difficult when you have huge enemy zerg against just few of you. Still I have had a blast of fun. I always kill more enemies than they can kill me. I usually just roam alone, not in any team and of course sometimes I tag alone with some group (it is impossible to avoid zergs). And no, I don’t play thief or any other cheap character in WvWvW. Some people have a sense of honor. And backstabbing shouldn’t reward anybody with badges of honor (nor some silly jumping puzzle).

I am from Finland and I wish more people would fight with the spirit of Finnish-Russo Winter War 1939-1940. Finland was then alone against the mighty Soviet Union, heavily outnumbered and lacking weapons. Despite the impossible odds, Finns were fighting back fiercely. This is the spirit we should have at Blacktide!

I must salute the French guilds from Visunah Square, Arborstone, Jade Sea and Augury Rock. You are fun to play against. You know how to use the siege and retreat much better than I could (besides our side lacks the supply to build them). Always tons of siege flying at us. But you are weak in open field and fair fights. I once again today scored over 10 times more kills than I died. Killing enemies with elixir gun is the biggest fun ever (yes, I know that weapon kit sucks, but hey, if I can kill with it… ).

It doesn’t ,considering the lack of any ppl at wvw despite “very high” status.
BT is a PVE server, get over it.

It kinda does need help to the guy above.
If it was a PvE server only then we wouldn’t have the feature to do WvW. It’s just the fact no one else did WvW other than Xaoc and HP. So we just need some motivation and leadership to get us back on top.

The lack of [PvE] tag doesn’t change the fact that the majoity of BT’s population doesn’t give a kitten about wvw. ;-)
So there isn’t much sense to try to carry overcrowded server without any dedicated WvW people left. Especially with the upcoming changes which provide the possibility of doing non-WvW stuff on any european server via guesting.

Well, if anybody is interested in coming to blacktide maybe as a challenge with the imminent charge coming to server moving this is our last chance. I saw it today we banded together and despite all odds we took stonemist under the noses of two bigger zergs. We’ve got potential we just need to harness it.

And how on earth does the team colour system work? We’ve been green and blue for like 3 weeks now and I need Red for 100% world completion lol.

First server in the ranking is green, second blue, last red. Since you can go down several places in ranking though, it’s possible not to see a colour for quite some times even during freefall.

i feel very very sorry for you guys, we just lost a few guilds in SFR and we can notice the difference, i can t imagine how sad is to loose that many guilds in and avalanche effect drawing players away from a server. Specially if u used to be a great server, like u were

We can t offer help moving to Blacktide since we already have lot of problem in SFR.

Thanks man, I would love for a guild to see Blacktide as a fresh canvas and want to just give us stability if you see what i mean, because loosing i can deal with but EVERY week just being pushed out is kind of depressing, we need a big guild to see this server as something that can be fixed not just a ghost town!
