Hello,

are there any plans to balance this server matchup? I come from FoW and I must say that I don’t enjoy WvW one bit because of the sheer player number imbalances this matchup holds. Ingame BT holds ~80% of the territory all the time, has more than 3x the points combined of Vabbi and Fow and in the leaderboards BT holds more points than FoW and Vabbi combined.
It makes no sense for me or any player in the Vabbi or Fow servers to play wvw because basically no matter what BT can just steamroll through the most organized defenses and strategies, heck they don’t even use siege when taking keeps.

I’d suggest merging Vabbi+Fow in wvw to have some sort of balance.
Does ArenaNet recognize this problem I described above?

Yet i don’t think that the merge would be enough to balance this out. Just out of sheer curiosity i guested on Vabbi today, and what can i say, this server is just empty when compared to Blacktide. Maybe it would make more sense to get rid of Vabbi/FoW completely, transferring charachters to other, more populated servers.

The insistence on having servers play only the two closest matched servers is completely and utterly flawed, and has led to stagnation at almost every level.

The whole point of ELO and similar rating systems is to judge a competitor against as wide a range of opponents as possible. If you put three competitors together and make them fight over and over and over and over again then results will always even out. T1 is supposed to be the best there is, but this week it’s turned in to a mockery as two servers have essentially given up for the time being. What else is there to do? It’s stagnated, and looking down the ladder it seems to be a similar story elsewhere. There’s few servers changing tiers.

there is nothing wrong with servers.
WvWvW rank is decided by wich guilds play on x or y server.
an merge betwen 2 servers, will not add 100% more manpower in wvwvw, probably even less

dont cry so much,
instead of it, encourage your guildmates to go to WvW, spend your time there too
contact me ingame, we can cooperate at TS and on battlefields, do WvW guild events (if you are from Vabbi)

much worse problems are not communicating ppl in WvW maps. when we are loosing and havent outmanned buff, its only cause ppl arent cooperating

I’m thinkin about transferring to T9, but reading this, playing for Vabbi or FoW does not seem to be THAT much fun, since they’re dominated by BT?
Or is it still possible for smaller groups to actually achieve something?

Sure BT is dominating us in score because they have such bigger numbers during the day, but during the night is when t9 is the most fun, when our numbers are near equal. Numerous times we’ve taken 90% of all maps and even more times all of EB. Just last night 3 guildies and I effectively spawn camped ~10+ BT in EB at Aldon’s tower while Vabbi and our Commander conquered most of the map. Small groups really make the difference in T9. Feel free to join us if you’d like

Awesome moments, when we from FoW can actually spawn camp other servers..

Sure on FoW we can take 90% of the map REALLY late at night, but thats not how it should be in my opinion. To complete the WvW areas I had to play in WvW until about 4am GMT for a 3 days. Then we get zerged by BT until the next night. Its not fun, even communicating you can’t last long before BT call upon their infinite supply of characters ( compared to FoW and Vabb ) and steamroll us without any particular tactics… And now we’re matched up against Aborstone and they’ve taken over 95% of the entire WvW map 2 hours after the reset. I don’t know how Arenanet could potentially even it out. All I know is, I doubt i’ll be wasting my time in WvW for much longer.
