Block the dead persons' eye.
People do realize that you can communicate with people once they die even without a blank screen. They could just as easily say.
“i just got zerged down by 40 people near [insert keep/tower] here”
So unless you want to basically tell people that they arent allowed to type/use voip, this idea is really silly.
It’s not that simple Melphina. I’ve created a similar thread a couple hours ago:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/pvp/wuvwuv/Defeated-players-as-spies/first#post137423
The problem isn’t that a dead person can relate how they died.
Its that I can die inside the keep walls on a attack that gets defeated, and stay dead.
Then, for the rest of eternity, I can tell my team what is happening on their walls, and in their courtyard, and the enemy can’t do a thing about it besides build so much siege on top of me that I can’t see any more (at which point they’ve wasted at least 3-4 gold on trebuchets).
So this thread is allegeing that people are choosing to stay dead(or getting second accounts) for the sole purpose of watching troop movements? Something, i would remind you, that a Thief could easily do. The only benefit then becomes the internal working and position of a keep which will be quickly learned by letting people who stand next to a door as it opens quickly find out or easily seen on a wall by scouting it out before hand.
In the end one person is wasting his time to gather information that is mostly unimportant to the battle or with strategic play will be avoided while still doing suply damage to the defenders.
Yes. Some Guilds have one dead guy in every single important chokepoint. This is not how spieing on your enemies is suppose to happen. Suppose to be some sort of risk/reward for it.

If people want information THAT badly they would just buy another game and have them sit on characters from that realm so they could get BETTER information as opposed to having a dead character as silent alarm. Then youll never know who the spy is and theres nothing you can do about it either.
I really don’t see this as an issue. Both sides can do this.
None of the sides should be able to do this.
None of the sides should be able to do this.
Exactly.
This ties into the other thread about being able to get rid of defeated players as to avoid situations where an entire army resses behind you. Not a bad idea to give players a way to destroy the dead.
Or give them first person view so the only thing than can see is my butt.
