I posted this in another thread but it got buried by responses to the ot. So i had an idea for the bloodlust buff that kind of retains it’s original idea the dev’s had but tweaking it a tad. Instead of having the buff go server wide across ALL maps, why not just have the buff apply to the map that it is acquired on? So for example you (green team) are attacking the blue borderlands (who currently has the bloodlust buff). Out the gate you have a choice, go neutralize the blue teams bloodlust (+50 stats) or start attacking towers. If you get the bloodlust buff you are slightly more powerful and that can help in taking towers and such. The blue team however are then put in the position to decide, do we need to defend more or focus on neutralizing the bloodlust. It would create a kind of tug o war battle for power. Then when you leave the borderland you would lose the buff. EB would be unable to get any sort of bloodlust buff. This would also prevent servers from stacking all three buffs at once to get +150 stats. Opinions?

Personally, my biggest concern is the fact that servers could stack all 3. Even if it goes according to plan the only time anyone would actually get all 3 buffs is if they completely out number the other 2 servers. So then what exactly is the point?

Just the 50 to all stats should be enough to keep the new capture points very active but not overwhelm weaker servers.

Again my personal belief is that no stat buffs are even needed (or wanted) and the addition of gaining actual PPT for stomping will be motivation enough.

I’m in the exact same boat as you, personally i would vote no to the stats buff all together, but if the devs are so set on the stat buff the three stacking seems like a bit much. I also like the dynamic of having EB still a more neutral, evenish (as much as wvw can be) playing field. All the spawns are relatively the same distance to the castle, same amount of camps, same amount of towers, three merci camps. Having the stat boost in EB also is kinda lame.
