I don’t get why you change to these new maps. They look bad, they smell bad, they taste bad, and nobody is playing anymore since you added them.

Everyone just spawn camps their home bls preventing roamers from doing any real damage. When zergs go to fight there they just slosh back and forth in the same spots over and over without gain. And bloodlust is the stupidest thing I’ve seen in wvsw to date. 75% of the land on these new maps aren’t even used for combat! Or has anything to do with wvsw!

Nobody is playing anymore. Interesting. My borderland is often qued up by these nonpersons I guess.

PS. They aren’t new maps.

Yeah, what Teofa Tsao said… the borderlands haven’t had queues like this since before HoT.

There is barely a queue on EB during prime time, and if there is, it isn’t 105 people in queue and in addition theres a queue on atleast 2 other borders.

75% of the land isnt used for combat? These maps offer far better fights than the dbls did, both large scaled and and that of smaller size. It is also easier to get to a fight across the map if you die.

I really don’t know why chores are part of the game. Let me post a thread to show what I mean.

At one point earlier today, our home borderland had a queue and EB actually didn’t for a change. People were in shock. I think it’s safe to say that if you’re not finding people in the Alpine borderlands, you’re not actually looking.

OP is right, “bots” were chatting with me, it was creepy.

2. There were queues on all the maps tonight, one BL had a line 66 deep

On a side note, something seems broken with the map cap because sometimes the size of the forces and activity levels don’t seem like there should be a queue but it’s there! I don’t know, it’s weird.

They are better populated then the desert bl. That is the only reason i enjoy these stale old alpine border.

I see alot more people on alpine than desert. Though you have to understand that the damage Anet has done with HoT won’t be magically fixed by bringing stuff back from before HoT.

Many people have left the game as a vote of no confidence and it will take time to get them back, though even I have my doubts of them returning at all..

Also gonna chime in and say that my server seems to be queued on the borderlands more than EB currently.

As a side note, thinking that the differences could be server based on which map each playerbase prefers, it would be quite nice if Anet could make it so that during the reset downtime players could vote on what they collectively want as their home BL for the week, with the majority vote winning.

Alpine borders getting much more played than the desert borders.
Before the switch it was only EB and desert was deserted. Thats in T1 EU btw.

See, here’s the argument in a nut shell. Alpine brought players back to the BL’s. Where previously, they were simply a PvD map. Hence, the PvD players are complaining about Alpine.

I think Cerby is just trolling. Especially roamers should like the ABL more because it is much easier to find players to fight. You can also get from camp to camp quicker so you have more impact on the map.

People generally end up on EB, because you can find constant fights there.
The rest at night especially, are usually ppters, roamers, gankers or players bunkering inside their keeps with siege.

Not sure what server or time zone you play in, but in NA prime on Blackgate, all 4 maps are queued with 30+ people in each queue. Even at 1PM EST yesterday when I logged in, Blackgate had all 4 maps queued with 5-20 people in each queue. This was NOT the case when desert maps were in play, not even close.

Post patch we didn’t have queues like this. EBG queue would get up to 200+ people, other maps queues were very low if any most of the time, the only one I really ever saw much of a queue in was our home map. I mean, when people are given the option to sit in EBG queue or play the game in a crappy map until their EBG queue pops, that is what they do lol.

And really, ET didn’t bring much to the table, that whole servers active player base could not queue half of 1 map if they were all on at the same time. I rarely even see players from ET in WvW.

Not sure where to play but I frequently see now borderlands having higher queues than EB, and in general we’re having much more intense and enjoyable fights.

When we got linked with ET, which was the same patch as the DBL tweaks update as well, we had some short queues on the borderlands but nothing crazy. APL has brought back a lot of people for BG. It’s actually quite enjoyable to be sitting right outside a waypoint fighting a group that’s also right outside a waypoint. Long battles and much bags to be had.
