lol you can save them apparently. Logged into a BL… we owned 3 camps and 2 towers, but the NPC was still waiting for more people to go XD.

Then switch to another enemy borderland or go to the EB. I don’t like it that my server has given up fortifying the southern towers in our borderland because of hourly commander attacks. It makes it harder to fight off zergs that come at anytime. It takes more than just an hour to fortify a tower. I’d feel a little better if the commanders only spawn every 6 or so hours. Would give time to fortify so the tower will take longer to take, even though it is impossible to defend against a commander attack.

I have mixed feelings about the event, there are some positives for sure, but I think it definately needs a couple of tweaks.
For example, I think the commanders power needs to be scaled depending on how many of his friendly zone are there. If there aren’t many invaders in the zone then yes, the lord should be very powerful to compensate, but if (as happened to us yesterday) the invaders move to the zone en masse, it’s power should be scaled down, trying to defend against more than twice your number plus the lord is over the top. If more than twice your number can’t take a tower from you without the help of the lord in its current state, then you deserve to keep that tower.
And it isn’t impossible to defend against the commander, it just depends on your preparedness and the quality/quantity of the invaders with the commander
