Bring Back The Orbs

The orb buff could be diffferent for defenders and attackers, and only be in effect in a specific BL. IE apply speed buff to dolys/upgrades for defending team + MF boost,+dmg to – dmg from guards for attacking team + MF boost. as an example.
The altar should be in open world rather than in a keep. OR someone could need to carry the orb like a bundle for the buff to be in effect.
The benefit of this would be to add an extra element to WvW. I really thought the idea of orbs was great and added an extra strategic element to wvw gameplay.
Switch the buffs from orbs & outmanned around.
Make orbs locked in place until your server takes that particular keep/kills that orb’s guardian.
Simples.
Orbs were and would again be a scourge upon this game. The top servers in blowout match-ups (the majority of them) shouldn’t be rewarded even further for absolutely destroying their competition all week.

That is why the newly proposed orbs do not give that much of an advantage to the stronger server. Pls read the points carefully.

WvW guild buffs at the location where the orb is.
Orb resets strictly on timer.
It will just be an added fun thing thrown in. Do I want to take a keep with the orb there where the defenders have buffs at the location? After I take it do I want to commit forces there to hold it? What time does the orb timer have left before it resets?
Orbs will not be the same mechanic, for obvious reasons. It will be something like the Temple of Lightening, where you cap something, get the buff and will wear off over time or until enemy captures it from you.
This will make it more dynamic and not “bigger server get the buff all the time”.
“Orb teams” will become very important and smaller guilds/groups will be very important on a map, expanding their impact from supply camps/lines to overall bonuses for server.
