It said in the patch notes Krait were buffed, and anyone who has played in Borderlands central lake can confirm that is the case.

My question is: are the buffed Krait bad for WvW?

I’m leaning towards “yes”. Before the Krait were more or less just an annoyance when you fought someone underwater in the lake. Now, if you are fighting and draw even one or two Krait on you, you are severely gimped.

People already avoid underwater combat in droves. These “super-Krait” will only make the problem worse. They should be toned down to encourage more aquatic fighting.

Aquatic fighting will always come second to ground because two things; a) there’s less water than land and b) there’s absolutely no flexibility in water builds. I don’t think big battles ever really happen under water. It’s mostly a way to travel without being a silhouette. Or a shortcut.

b) there’s absolutely no flexibility in water builds

Only because people don’t think about how their builds will perform underwater before putting their approval stamp on it. Sure there’s fewer weapons to work with underwater, but you still have to be mindful of your traits, whether you’re losing your 6th rune because you have nothing on your breather, or a multitude of other things.

Negligence in working on a build doesn’t mean the flexibility wasn’t there to begin with. Everyone thinks about shatter mesmer builds on land, but few can tell you how it works far better underwater than on land.

I completed the aquatic slayer last night killing krait in borderlands. Didn’t notice a difference to be honest.

I agree. They seem to do a little more damage and the veteran model looks like its changed coughyuanticough but otherwise I didn’t notice a huge difference.

It’s not the builds, it’s that it’s more of a 3d environment and people don’t know how to fight there, it’s not comfortable for them.

If you take advantage of that, you can win a lot of underwater fights.

Very true. I’ve killed a good chunk of folk who would usually wipe me on flat ground.
Not too many folks in MMO-style combat pay attention to the Z axis.
