Tarnished Coast [TC]
Build me a hammer warrior WvW Build.
Tarnished Coast [TC]
Here is what I run.
0/10/30/30/0
10 – Unsuspecting foe
30 – Embrace the pain, Merciless Hammer, Last stand
30 – Leg specialist, Lung Capacity, Vigiorus Shouts
Hammer – Zerker. Haven’t decided on a sigil and keep changing it around at the moment to find one I’m happy with. I don’t typically use any that offer a stack and would prefer a straight benefit. If I want a stack of say bloodlust, I’ll work one up with a separate weapon set.
Sword/Warhorn – Invader(PVT) with soldier crest and sigil of hydromancy.
Sword/warhorn is for getting in and out of the zerg. Sword skill 3 works nicely with leg specialist for a quick imobolize before swapping to a hammer and skill 5 from warhorn adds a nice weakness. Skill 4 from warhorn removes some conditions. If you are trying to DPS with this set, you will be doing it wrong. Sword skill 2 leaps in, use skill 3, and warhorn skill 5, swap hammer, skill 2, probably ready for a earth shaker, then skill 4. Fear me is nice to work in there also.
My gear is -
Head, shoulder, hands – knights
Body, legs, feet, amulet, 1 ring, 1 trinket – cleric
Backpiece – Invader stat. Orr temples have exotic back pieces.
1 amulet, 1 ring – zerker( haven’t totally decided on that ring being zerker or knights, only have exotic at the moment for this ring slot.)
Soldier runes.
All exotic or ascended if available.
Food is typically mango pie to deal with skill lag so I’m at least getting some kind of heal. There are other foods that can be nice but I’ll usually have the pie, and sharpening stones. I don’t feel I get enough benefit from using oil.
Skills – Healing surge, Fear Me, Great Justice, Shake it Off, Warbanner
Glass seem to die a bit too easily and I wish more in my zerg would beef up their builds(if you ever play against blackgate, forget what I say about glass and please run glass.) You may have uber DPS with glass but it doesn’t beat down a tanky fast enough and with all the AOE spewing from the zerg, glass doesn’t seem to last very long. Usually I’m one of the last few standing because everyone else melted.
Extra vitality is nice for conditions, I sit at about 24k hit points with my current set up though and I’m fine with that. I think toughness is more important, especially if you have some way to deal with conditions reasonably well. Extra toughness will mitigate damage much better than extra vitality.

Either 15/0/25/30/0 or 0/0/20/30/20. Main traits to get will be Hammer CDR, Shout CDR, Shout Heals, Root on Cripple.
Soldier runes will give your plenty of condition removal with your shouts. Sigils can be anything you want.
Right now I have a 10/0/30/30/0 hammer warri with Hoelbrak runes, dogged march and -40% cond duration food for a total of 60% reduction from all conditions and -93% reduction from movement conditions. Along with near permanent stability, your warrior is the type of unstoppable beast that it’s supposed to be.
Since I have over 3200 or so armor along with the resistance to conditions, it’s extremely difficult to take me down. With permanent might and fury, I have over 2500 power, 65% crit chance and 50+ % crit dmg, critting between 7 to 10 k with eviscerate and 4-5 ks with hammer.
Tough as nails, hits like a truck, the way a warri is supposed to be in my estimation.
I’ve beaten mesmers, thieves, elementalists in duels so you are not automatically screwed if left in a 1on1 situation.

Suddenly, you have a warrior who hits hard, has access to protection (at least 6s every 30s) and condition removal that also gives you a whole host of other boons and is party wide and perma vigor. Not to mention you have passive heals through mango pie regen, dogged march regen, adrenal health and life stealing.
AR → EB → DB → Maguuma
Arkham – [Ark]
I would say this is rather wrong forum section to post about this, but lets give it a shot with my hammer build.
So, its rather cheap build, nothing too fancy, but you have nice crits, you are mobile and you have a lot of CC.
With my build I usually keep myself in small fights where I can utilize my warrior best. Do fast burst AoE dmg while making sure none escapes. Yes, this build can catch those D/D eles who try to run away and so on. Thieves are rather hard to chase sometimes as they go invisible, but if you read them well enough you can catch them as well.
The build suits my needs and I find it fun to play. Its pretty good in 1v1 scenarios, especially when you caught someone their pants on their knees.
