Week after week of getting camped the moment I got off safe zone, helplessly stood there seeing a river of red-named tags pouring into the towers. Not to mention people continuously leaving the server to bigger ones. This is enough.

Congratz on your clever scheme to get transfer money, anet, but, alas, you won’t get it from me.

WvW spawn has 3 exits.. Chose the one where there is no one.. Or, have a thief/mesmer guildie stealth you through..

Yeah, you have lots of players who just want to join the fame of a good rolling WvW server.. Oh well, at least there are still some people who feel connected to their homeworld..

Never transfer, just keep rolling and messing around.. When the going gets though, the though get going..

lol, dude whats your server? and how pathetic of you to play Martyr thinking people care, get together with your guild, get on your servers communicatinos, get a force going, if the enemy manage to reach the entrance of your spawn then move maps and support you server mates on another map where you have a foot hold.

also wtf are you talking about? How dare you claim that anet or anyone has stolen your money by playing wvw? the content IS FREE, you press B and press enter, the only cost you ever had was when you bought the game, most of everything and especially wvw is FREE

I’m guessing most of you don’t play on lower population servers and thus can not feel the OP’s pain. Spawn camping is such a demoralizing act to these servers that can not mount an army big enough to counter the act.

There are 3 exits, and you can usually find a way to escape the spawn. But you will just get your rear handed to you a little aways from your spawn instead of just at it.

And I belive he is talking about their transfer policy. Pay for gems to transfer to new server. That is the ‘clever scheme’ he is referring to I believe.

WvW forum trolls man. Many many time do I load into EB to find my fellow peeps getting annihilated like hopeless sheep devoured by angry wolves. Yea you can sneak around though. Stick to the home BLs until you have organized a party to go on the offensive.

I don’t think this should be a “I quit post” though, Anet will close it. But being constructive in saying your griefs with being spawn camped would suffice. It’s a shame some servers amount to zerging right outside the spawn though. Theres no competition in it. But I also don’t recommend feeding the angry wolves either.

I can’t see any positive future for WvW! Anet just doesn’t give a stuff unless they are taking your money for Gem purchases.

I do enjoy this game a lot but at the first available opportunity i’m off, And it won’t really matter because even if that is 6 months from now you can guarantee that skill lag will still exist and the devs still won’t have replied.

Think about it this way. “Guild and friends” is certainly not enough for you, since you are considering quitting the game altogether.

You have no control over your server. You cannot recruit people by yourself. You cannot make other servers loss members by yourself.

You have no control over the game design and game directions.

The only thing you can control is which server you yourself is at.

So how is recommending he join one of those bandwagon zergy servers any help? They need to get heavy handed and force transfer some guilds back to the servers they hopped from and even out the population, because this is getting frigin ridiculous. Either that or lower the population cap temporarily on all the maps to make it more fair. People would get sick of the longer queues on the mega zerg servers then transfer back. Things would stabilize after awhile then they could raise the cap again. How is 100 vs 10 even remotely fun especially when you’re on the side with only 10?

BTW lower the server cap is a very bad idea. Other players might leave the game.

Thats crazy, I also saw that he was recruiting for Blackgate and SoR….You know that there are quite a few good servers to go to that are not in the top 3 (NA) TC, DB, FA, SoS, Mag, EB, CD, Kain….None of those are considered “bandwagon” servers and they want and need people too. So maybe you shouldn’t be so defensive because a guild left your server for a Bandwagon server. Maybe they didn’t like the way your server preformed in WvW….

If you’re on a bottom ranked server maybe you shouldn’t be complaining about population in WvW, you’re bottom ranked for a reason…Why would you expect some guild to come to your server and carry and train your population? Higher ranked servers recruit for coverage, WvW is a 24 hour battle after all and its also not fun to have a stacked time zone to loose it all in the next time zone because you don’t have the player base to cover it.

Make it more fair? Why should anet just make it fair for you? They have a option for people that want to WvW, you have a choice to pick any server you want and your to stubborn to move because you feel entitled.

Manually move guilds/players? Won’t work unless they lock servers…do that and they will loose players. Players = possible money. What servers do you think they really care about? The low pop servers or the border line full servers? They are a business after all.

Lower the population cap on the WvW maps? How is limiting the number of players that can play the game at any given time a good idea? Longer Queues? Most likely will split guilds and anet will loose players.

Lastly get over your self. A lot of guilds come to BG/SoR/JQ because regardless of what time zone they play in there will be some one to fight in a large scale. If you have so much server pride, take the time to build your community like so many people did on SoR/BG/JQ/TC (sorry don’t know much about you other equally awesome servers) People spend hours of their time trying to improve the server, paying for a community TS working on a website for the server, recruiting guilds for weak time zones, building better communication between time zones and much more. If you don’t like the direction your server is going then either leave or step up and try to fix it.

WvW sucks for many reasons, but getting spawn camped because you won’t make a decent group isn’t one of them.
