CD/SBI/SOS and pvp bots
agreed and witnessed.
it could almost be considered a form of “griefing” the amount of fps drop it creates.
all bot mobs (mostly bears) were tagged with guild name PREP.
sad really.

We partied with an SBI guy, who passed on some of the character/account names that the bots were using, they’re all using variations of the name “worldwide”, I added some of the names to my block list and confirmed it (see screenshot).
I would hope this gets addressed ASAP, as it can quickly get out of hand if players figure out that they can get away with this kind of stuff
Unfortunately that’s the biggest pvp guild on SBI
Malzerius – Thief
Dark Covenant (SBI)
you know, I’ve seen something like that on SoS as well…I mean maybe its just random, but I seen a ton of ranger running together like that…
I need to pay attention to the guild next time.

We came across this guild of bots for the first time in wvw ourselves last night. The handler (?) if you will was heckling us saying they were multi-boxing and that we can’t report them etc – Scripted macros? Who knows but there seemed some intelligence from one at least – we’d start a breakout and they’d appear at spawn and head straight for the tower 0.o
Once we realised they were bots we abandoned the idea deciding to get the heck away from them. We were the ones doing the ‘No’ emote to show we weren’t involved or amused by their presence.
We want to fight, win or lose, fair and square and hopefully as already stated by others the issue gets addressed ASAP- These bots are spoiling our hi-jinx of trying to cap around SOS BL lol
did you try to report them? any answer form anet?
i encounter 1 in t1 but he disappear right away
This happened a couple of weeks ago on EB, when, iirc, we were playing DR. DR’s bots would head straight to the water and cap the quaggan nodes by continuously fighting Krait in the areas around the nodes. The solution is as with bots in PvE
1) Have as many people as possible report them directly. This can be hard, but being in the area, grabbing a screen and reporting works.
2) Bug report the area as bot infested. This is slower, but when combined with 1) it works pretty well.
I came on the map after they hit bay, think I was commanding, heard people saying bots had damaged the wall, now I know what they were talking about.

We saw this same group of ranger bots from SBI doing a break out on SOS BLs trying to take the sw tower as well. We had just capped sw tower and they showed up the entire team was pretty much Rangers with bear pets. When we figured out it was a bunch of bots we ditch the tower and continued on our quest to cap SOS’s stuff. The issue of bots really needs to be addressed as this type of play ruins the game for all of us.
I play on SBI and there were quite a few people calling the PREP ranger squad out last night. I started a conversation with “them” and did get an actual response, so there is a real person running the group. It looks like one guy playing a ton of accounts. There weren’t quite as many as it looked like—I believe the total number is ten.
So, definitely sleazy but more like multi-boxing than botting. I asked him to leave so we could finally get the outmanned buff…
If you suspect them of botting, report them. We don’t want bots on our server any more than you want to fight them.
I’m continually impressed by the caliber of players in this matchup. There have been issues that have come up, and we’re effective at communicating with each other and addressing them. Yes, there was that one necro that moved at lightning speed, and I’ve heard reports of the engineer that can fly. Getting the formal reports in can be difficult, but last I heard that engineer no longer had a guild tag.
Even though ANet has not taken immediate action in all cases, I’m glad we can continue to police ourselves to keep a clean fight.
