CD:WvW do anybody want Ele's summon weapons?
The only one I summon is the fire sword. Someone picks it up about half the time.
SOS Spy Team Commander [SPY]
I don’t want your welfare weapons! I have my own thank you very much.
I think only Sword and bow are useful… The axe can be outplayed by many class weapons skills, the lighting hammer isn’t reliable and idk what the shield actually is good for.

Pshhhh as a guardian, please summon the bow. Look mom, I can hit things that are far away!
a guardian from k[Ai]neng
I think the problem is familiarity.
People that haven’t played an Ele have no idea what the skills on summon weapon are, so when they pick one up they’re pretty much just blindly spamming skills. Thus people stick to their own weapons as they know them better.
my build is centered around the weapons i am already using so no.
I use em if I see em, never played an ele, but I know how to use them all effectively.
Wtb more earth shields please, I do enjoy my invuln (or extra invuln, if I’m running whatever that guardian elite is, slipping my mind) and pulling people off of stuff with it. Good fun, and quite handy.
I play an ele and I don’t even know half the skills conjured weapons bring, but I know for sure whatever utility they bring, all professions can do something similar within their own skillset, hence the neglect.

But most of the weapons have their 4th and 5th skill being some kind of nasty AoE Damage/Control ability.
Look at Lighting Hammer. It can AoE stun. a Toughness built warrior/Guardian running into a zerg poping that AoE Stun could rock. and the number 4 ability on Frost Bow just owns!!
I dont have Shield yet, nor Sword. Working on it. But the Hammer and Bow rock. Just dont like the rootingness of Hammer. Havnt work much with Axe to know its key points.
I would like more weapons in the future honestly. a Conjure Torch and Conjure Staff. man that could rock!
I pick up all of them except the axe. Fiery Greatsword is powerful on glass cannon builds.
I’ll use them because they look cool.

They shield has a pull similar to scorpion wire, I think its called magnetic grasp. It also has some decent defensive utilities but I rarely use it.
i picked up the greatsword for the first time yesterday and used it when we capped a camp together, 3 or 4 of us. it was actually pretty good. i only have a low level ele so i had never used the GS until then.
I like them. But I think they are suffering a two part problem.
That a lot of folks don’t have elementalists, and think that taking one is akin to running off with a warrior banner.
And folks are attached to their current weapon, and don’t want the potential effectiveness drop from learning to use a new environmental weapon mid battle.

Shield has a pull so you can pull enemies off walls.

Ironically, the Sword does that better than anything the guardian has, too!
There are many reasons people don’t go to collect conjured weapons (sticking with group, didn’t spot the weapon, etc).
on Crystal Desert I been summoning weapons on my ele for the team, but notice most never use them.
Is there a reason to this? Do people want Ele’s Weapons in WvW?
Most probably they are too busy to notice them. I love Ice Bow’s ‘5’ for repelling siege zerg ^^
I drop the fiery greatsword before either taking a camp, a keep door or if a 60 man zerg is about to occur. 90% of the time they are picked up.
They do a great amount of damage on doors, npcs and clusters of players.
I’ve gotten into the habit of using /say to say “dropping sword” …. Because most folks fnd it hard to see the sword in a high pop battle. They DO see my chat bubble though and 90% of the time the sword gets picked up.
heh, as been said… i’m a Guardian. if i see a bow, i will pick it up most likely regardless lol
others, not so much but it kinda feels cool holding “volcanus” or “mjolnir” at times ; ))

I specifically like using the lightning hammer to synergize with the mesmer sword kit.
If I see a lightning hammer around, cooldown permitting, I add Lightning Leap → Static Field to my chain before Illusionary Leap → Swap.
It lets the clone apply a dazing strike when it hits and then get a second proc of dazing strike combo when I activate swap. Including that into my opening chain lets me hold on to my F3 shatter for a little longer and gives me an additional escape option should bad things decide to jump me.

Pfftt. Engineers have no use for such primitive magical artifacts. We have grenades, bombs, flame throwers and a prybar to hit people face.

I LOVE them! But as said…a lot of players have no clue how to use them so they just ignore it.

Every time I see an ele weapon I’m like “MINE MINE I SAW IT FIRST!” but nobody seems to care :B
I love the Frost Bow! I’ve probably used yours a few times. Then again I am a ranger and standard longbow skills give me a sad. Frost Bow makes me happy again
Simple answer for me: I drop Fiery Greatsword when I need
to get to a battle quickly OR away from it. Outside of that,
dont use them.
Do not use it. Do not want the conjured items either. My playstyle is based around the weapons I carry to support my team. The conjured weapons are pretty crappy compared to the utility I already have.
