- AoE spells with a maximum number of targets will now count combatants that block or evade the attack towards that maximum.

Sweet, more buff to the zerg.

Just put 5 perma evade thieves in the center of the zerg.

ANet makes all balance changes with strictly sPvP in mind. They’ve probably already come to the conclusion that this WvW league will be an utter disaster and will never hold such an event again.

That said, if ANet is capable of putting in logic like this I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t put in similar logic where if there were 6 people under an AE and 1 was blocking it would choose the 5 unblocking ones first. Baby steps I guess…

Wouldn’t work, at least in T1. There are 20 circles constantly in fights. Evading one of them won’t do much.

Supported… revert it to the gold system please.. me swiging my Greatsword in a clump of 10 people should always hit max number of tarets, and that number should be 5, not 3, and definitely not 2 or 1…

Complaining about this is akin to griping about poor gas mileage from a Bugatti.

AoE is still incredibly powerful so much so that most zerg builds focus almost exclusively AoE abilities. At this point you should be happy they don’t balance it against targeted attacks.

Actually, that number should be 10, but I know what you mean.
