Can someone help me to understand...
Not sure if they are looking into this as I have yet to see them post anything about it despite it being brought up numerous times.
A lot of this can be alleviated by just spamming F to pick everything up as your killing despite some people telling you to just pick everything up after battle. That’s probably Anet’s thinking on it.
My personal feeling is though, I don’t think it’s too much skin off Anet’s back to just have them stack directly in our inventory (up to 250). If were at 250, then they just fall at our feet. Honestly, I would expected them to do this long before them giving us a collectibles tab that stacked various things in there like badges.
I try to make you understand. Bare with me as English is not my 1st language.
If we have the option to collect loots when we are dead. Players will abuse this option.
The wvwvw play style will be different. Tell me why should I fight, I just can aoe a zerg as much/many as I can then suicide myself. Now all I need to do is wait. Wait to collect lots of loot while I’m dead.

It’s always been like that though – people just ‘tag’ players to get loot (guardians spamming staff #1 skill in zergs for example), and in my opinion I don’t feel that this has any relevance to the topic, but each to their own :-P All I’m suggesting is for us to be able to pick up loot that we rightfully earnt and deserve, when we’re dead. I’m not asking for anything extra or overpowered. If you were rewarded with loot, you should have the right to pick it up.
@DeadlySynz.3471, a collectibles tab for WvW that automatically stores any unclaimed loot that you missed out on? That would be awesome! Great idea.

if you’re dead, do you really deserve a reward?
if you’re dead, do you really deserve a reward?
If you earnt a whole bunch of loot bags, do you really deserve to miss out on them just because you died in the split second when they all dropped?
Well I think we shouldnt have the right to pick them up while we are dead. Imagine sm, zergs fight, I just aoe/hit them as many as I can, I don’t care if we will win or not. Then I kill myself. I guess I will have lots of loots. Don’t you think?
A few things for everyone :
-When you die, you probably won’t get a ton of loot bags until 5-10 seconds because your death rallied other enemies that were down.
-When you WP, you still get your drops as you walk (but the OP knows this).
It’s frustrating to not be able to get your loot bags but really, just spam F as you kill stuff. If you die too quickly to do so, you probably aren’t going to get a lot of bags. If you decide to stick around hoping that your team will win or at least save you, it’s your gamble. Nothing is as frustrating as seeing a big chest you know contains something else than a loot bag, thus why you should limit your stay when you are dead in a lord room.

The whole point in WvW though is to kill as many players as possible. To my logic, you shouldn’t have to worry about picking up your loot at all, really – because your focus should be on annihilating the enemy teams, not picking up your rewards… (and don’t get me started on the fact that “auto loot” doesn’t actually live up to its name by automatically picking up your loot when it’s dropped and being placed in your inventory, because you still have to press a button – which isn’t very automatic if you ask me – just saying :-P).

That would be the ideal scenario actually. Not having to worry about picking up your loot at all so that you can focus on the battle, but here, I just want the ability to pick up any unclaimed loot when I’m dead. It would be great if Anet made it so that any unclaimed loot bags were automatically placed in a WvW locker or your inventory, but that’s not what I’m suggesting – it would be great, but I highly doubt THAT would ever happen. I just want the loot I rightfully earnt.
I really don’t understand why players don’t want their well deserved loot?

yeah, because you died. if you survived, you’d deserve them. anyone with AoE can “earn” loot bags. it’s not hard at all. you don’t even need to do much damage anymore. you don’t deserve a reward for failure. that’s the self entitled attitude that’s the plague of modern MMOs. all being rewarded for failure does is cheapen the rewards for success. if you succeed, you deserve a reward. if you fail, you should do a better job next time.
Dying is not always failure. Did the person that ran in to contest a cap for just long enough for reinforcements to arrive fail by dying? If he hadn’t, that tower/keep would have been lost. Yet this system ensures that even the enemy team, which did fail, gets more of a reward than he does.

if someone’s in to a circle to prevent a cap, they’re not going to have a bunch of lootbags at their feet.
Yet they deserve a bunch of lootbags more than any other player on the map.

but they wouldn’t have any to pick up. that’s what this thread is about. someone whining because they lost out on 6 loot bags. which most likely means that they were running with a zerg. they weren’t preventing a cap, they were engaged in combat. if they succeeded, they would still be alive to collect their loot bags. since they couldn’t, they failed.
….
Just forget I even made this thread. It seems all people want to do is flame me for dying, accuse me of being too lazy to teleport the split second I die without knowing the full story of the screenshot/s, or accuse me of something else. Good grief.
Just forget it then. Let this thread die and we can all enjoy our loot disappearing.
rallybots dont deserve bags
If your dead you cant shoot
If your dead you cant loot
WvW loot is poor anyway so do some pve for 30min if your really concerned about getting rewards

Don’t argue with idiots, they pull you down their level and own you with experience.
There is a code out there that automaticly places loot in your inventory.
There is also a code out there that makes loot display its nice yellow text without pressing keys..
I would suggest someone buying those codes for this game.
“~This is all speculation ofcourse~”
Or, make lootbags fill your inventory as actual.. “lootbags”
I am sure it has been suggested about over 10000*~ x2 but hey.. fudge it.

Yes, you deserve to miss out because you died

Don’t die. It’s just that simple.
I spam AoE loot during combat constantly. I never miss bags except when inventory is full.
It sucks when it happens but as others have said, if you died AND you lost the encounter(if your team had won, someone would be there to rez you) then you simply don’t deserve the loot.

In GW 1 any loot you forgot to pick up, over a certain time limit threshold, and j think just in dungeons, but maybe also during vanquishing, you would receive a pop up if you switched zones that would give you everything that you were unable to loot. Its not like Anet couldn’t mail you your stuff that you died next to. Maybe they are working on that.
