In wvw people wanted to transfer ,but certain things stood in their way. 1) gold cap per week is like 500 gold, so when a server unlocks for a few days this cap of 500 only is enough for gems for like maybe 1 person to transfer… My question is can anet change it so that wvw transfer tickets can be sold in the gemstore and they can be gifted to people?? That way if we wanted to bring people over to transfer this pesky gold cap wouldn’t be hurting it.

If people wanted to transfer themselves or their guilds then they wouldn’t get stuck by the gold cap and by the few day window time limit. I think wvw transfer tickets for gems would be a great idea and would address this issue, but I wondered what people thought of this for an idea and etc.

:) Best gemstore idea ever! The sales would be through the roof and may revitalize wvw big time.

This is a pretty slippery slope to be suggesting. As it stands Anet makes money from stale matches and server stacking by players paying to transfer.

Maybe you could also suggest you solution in the general discussion as well for the PvE community. Something along the lines of: remove mega servers, and pay to transfer for PvE as well. Your server to dead to do a world boss? Or push a map meta? No problem just by gems and transfer to another server that can!

Just consider that when you are making suggestions to throw money at Anet by asking for a solution they can sell in the gemstore you are only encouraging them to create additional problems to sell solutions to.

Players can already and DO buy GW2 Gem cards online and then just send other players the gem card number for them to transfer. Many guilds transfer members this way as it is. It is less expensive to buy a gem card than it is to convert gold anyhow.

So you are suggesting gem item that allow people a one-time transfer, a gem item that you can gift to others. It sounds like a sweet idea actually, such item is common in cash shop in mmorpg.

However, here is the problem, transfer cost come at different costing (1800/1000/500). That would means you need one item for each costing :O

It’s a good idea in theory but i think itd end up being very hard to implement for the same reasons skyshroud mentioned.

Sounds like a pretty valid idea but gifting would have to be an option, they could have
Bronze Ticket = low pop transfer
Silver Ticket = Medium pop transfer
Gold Ticket = High Pop transfer
each one costing the corresponding gem price for server population.

Another Idea would be, allow us to gift gems.
