So before todays changes it used to take 10 mins for a camp to upgrade to T1 which would complete the guild mission. Its an easy one so its pretty ok. With todays changes you need to get 20 dolyaks in to a keep or tower. We just tried this and with the speeding them up we werent able to do it in the 30 min time limit. The issue is that once you flip a camp it took 5 mins for the dolyaks to spawn and then its about 1 30min or 2 min run with them having swiftness to each tower/keep. Please anet fix this

Edit: So if you kill the dolyaks at the camp before you cap it they go on a 5 min cooldown, if you leave them alive your team colour ones will spawn staright away. Also even with giving them swiftness it still took 25 mins and we had to defend a camp to. Compare to the old one of wait 10 mins this didnt feel like an easy guild mission anymore

3 of us did this yesterday with 40 seconds to spare and this included one dolyak getting killed and having to wait for a respawn.

I think we only pulled it off because we are the red team with the short paths from Pangloss to Ogre Watch and Veloka. The dolyak to Veloka counts twice as it also goes to the keep.

We were very lucky that the Green and Blue hordes were busy with each other and we only had to fend of a terrible minion master and a daredevil that spent most of his time running away.

Certainly not as easy as it was.

We did it in the home Bl and it was crazy hard, we failed the first time, n the 2nd time nearly lost the camp to random mag players. I think all it needs is the camps to be lowers on amount of dolyaks it needs. As 30 mins to go to t1 compare to 10 mins before is a major difference. Even the old system was like 8 mins

The new system is just messed up. Anet are not WvW players and just through out randoom numbers without having any logical thinking to rationalize their decision

Expanded list of requirements of the mission now:
- need to already own all objectives a camp would serve, otherwise those yaks will go nowhere
- wait until all yaks in the camp are spawned and to not kill those yaks in the camp before capturing
- beg allies to to not kill those said yaks or to capture the camp before the yaks spawn (akin to having to force a failure of an event in PvE to get something else to work, something Anet supposedly is against, especially since camps count for score every tick and yaks for score every kill)
- somehow remember to activate the mission as you are standing in the capture circle just before it flips to maximise time
- walk all yaks to objectives to give them swiftness and to guard from roamers and other groups
- defend all objectives the camp serves while the mission is going on, or risk having the camp’s upgrade rate cut and likely failure of the mission
- hope to not get overrun by a larger or better force while doing all the above

Camps that serve more than 2 objectives are the best targets for the mission, but are also huge targets for blobs to flip to get supply for other things (as on EBG) or do not get flipped as often unless other things around it flip first (as with north camp on home borderlands).

I am not even sure this mission can be done with camps that only serve 2 objectives with 2 yaks on the borderlands, even when all the stars align.

This is hardly an easy guild mission anymore.

Guild missions seem to be a low priority.

I think they should really just make it time based.

For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skywards,

Our guild tried this last night in a borderland; we lost 2 dolyaks to an enemy group (we killed them in the camp), but no other interruptions. We failed with 18/20 dolyaks delivered. And this was on the EASY setting! This doesn’t mention the dizzying running around we were doing trying to escort 2 different dolyaks to 3 locations. Guildies were complaining how tiring it was (I know, clicking buttons = work?).

If this new dolyak delivery system is going to remain for a while, I’d recommend the number for the upgrade be set to 6 for the first upgrade. Remember that each dolyak takes about 2-3 mins to reach each destination, and this is dependent on them surviving and owning the nearest structures.

Yep, the issue is you got to hold the camp, and 2/3 other things to get this to work now. So its feels more like capture and hold everything. You need to basically hope the stars aline and that everything goes well. Im also worried if the Capture and hold tower or keep are this hard. Becuase thats going to be a pain to.

Dont get me wrong i love the new changes, i just think the numbers are far to high. 10 mins on the HOT auto system 30+mins on the dolyak system for camp to get to t1 is to high. Also the fact if you dont do this mission in your home bl or in your 3rd in ebg its impossible as you need to own the objective around it. I it before wherre i could take my guild flip the camp and start the mission have a few people stay and the rest start working on the next thing. Now its 30 mins of baby sitting a camp, 2 yaks, and either a tower or keep its crazy.

It was a poor move to not update this guild mission after yesterday’s update. For now, you might as well only attempt this guild mission at north camp of your home BL making sure you own north keep, NWT, and NET. You also need to not kill the yaks at the camp. North camp has 4 yaks and the rest of the camps have 2.

With the change to the way camp upgrades now work this can no longer be considered an “easy” guild mission.
Requiring 20 dollies to reach their destinations in the 30 min time limit is next to impossible – if the dollies fail to spawn immediately or you loose more than two then you cannot to it – and that is with both the camp & destinations being with the movement buff aura and using periodic swiftness buffs on the dollies.

There are two possible fixes for this:
1) Reduce the number of dollies required for the 1st camp upgrade
OR
2) Change the “hold until upgrades” to “hold for X mins” (I would recommend X be 10 mins)

This is a major blow for smaller guilds…..

Bump – Failed a mission by like 1min. This seems downright impossible, especially when you have to have everything taken around the camp and need constant swiftness on dolyaks and you might barely get it.

So they just moved the timer an hour, still going to be harder then before
