Change in combat markers
to promote smaller groups
I think it should be more like 15 or so. It would make it better over all i think.
a middleground would have been nice. i think 5 was too small. but 25 seems a bit extreme.
though i suspect after a week or so, they may drop the cap back down after seeing how it works out and how people react. it’s all fine-tuning.

All it really means to me is that we will almost never see orange swords in Oceanic time zones, and just have to learn to respond more quickly to white ones than we already have been.
From what I’ve seen so far, it hasn’t changed zerging so much. Now most of the group just hold back with a few (upto 25) attacking. Once an entrance is established, bam.
In many ways it makes zerging easier.
This could backfire into a stupid decision, or maybe things will change?

I personally think it is a good call because of the culling issues that is obviously not fixed. This mixed with them mindless zerging makes WvW a zerg fest and takes the fun out of tactics and strategies that used to matter in its earlier days. And we’re not even talking about players with full zerker gear running around button-spamming on everything they see. In my humble opinion it only encourages bad players and not growth in terms of players’ skills. Sadly the good ones (or the ones that are trying to improve) are left with no options but to join the zerg or risk being run over by an angry horde that can kill you just by trampling over you (just an expression).
This gives good commanders new strategies as well as options on how to move their forces around in WvW and not rely on pure zerging because any other parties they send out might meet with a 60 man party and be vaporized in milliseconds. It also gives smaller guilds/parties the option if they want to follow a goof-ball commander that is not doing a good job and make an impact in their own way.
Just to justify I’m not saying that zerging is not an option but the fact that it is almost the only option for anyone to stand a chance only promotes players flocking into already over-populated servers. Should this have been implemented before the free transfer period ended I’m sure we would see a difference in how the transfers went.
Well to end things I’m personally feeling it is a good call and that it would have had better response before the free transfer period ended.
just roam and scout omg is the best update with have for WvWvW so far don’t try to whine to touch it…
These vocal minority expressing their uneducated opinion is doing my head in. It’s the best change they have made in W3. So many positives including the big one nobody is mentioning in thei whine posts.
The fact that this change is making it harder for the enemy to come in behind you and ninja your structure from you after YOU have done all the hard work unless you role in a Zerg which will become less popular with this change.

Less then 25 may be a bit much but its a good start. Its comply chasing how ppl are playing WvW. Ppl asked for zerg power to be dropped and this dose it. Zerg are now a liability as all numbers should be they make a lot of nose and are easier to see coming. I cant wait to see how much of a game changer this is (not going to see much this week or next most like but in a few weeks we may see T1 no longer be able to hold that T1) I for one cant wait.
