Is it worth? My server is Stormbluff Isle – Silver (NA) and there is not much people in WvW.

The WvW is where I play most.

SBI isn’t a small population server… Maybe the timezone you play on is the problem…

So, unless you are a NA player, the ammount of people you’ll see on off-hours is proportional to the server ranking. So you’ll have lots of people on T1, and near to no one on T8.

No it isn’t you have only to bad alternatives to choose from

1. no friends
2. no enemies

Better you do not support this nonsense by throwing money after it.

I just dont think it’s fair that you have to switch servers to actually get a decent experience for wvw. My server was decent at WvW, but a few of the big guilds left because they wanted to pile on to the top server in wvw. Then that started a chain reaction and now it’s a ghost town in wvw. Tired of getting rolled by talentless zergs that simply outnumber us 5 to 1. I dont need to be tier 1, but I’d like to get some decent gameplay out of it. Dont think its fair that either Im stuck in a wasteland or I have to drop 30$ to switch to another server – that might possibly die off as well.

SBI is a great server. They have biiiiiiiiiiiiig stormblobs, and some very effective roamers.

It really depends on what you’re looking for out of your WvW experience. Winning in WvW MEANS NOTHING. and if you’re looking at transfering to a server where you’re less overwhelmed, I dont really know how to help, since glicko will give you both intense victories and crushing defeats.

My .02 is that SBI doesn’t have any zergbusting or stand-out guilds since Bannok left for AA. It seems to me that the environment on SBI is RIPE for a WvW guild to flourish. You’ve got a very big, capable stormblob, and all those people are very used to working together.

It could be just my opinion though.

I’ll guess you are under Oceanic time. SBI have a few guilds during that time zone, like AoD and Kiwi, you can try to contact them, in case they are recruiting, to enhance your experience.

The thing is there aren’t many servers with off hours coverage. For silver league that will be Dragonbrand and now, apparently, Isle of Janthir. For gold league, Yak’s Bend, Sea of Sorrows and Jade Quarry.

The question is if you want to fight, even if outnumbered, or want a possible high chance to pvdoor. Sorry, but putting roughly the situation. Perhaps YB or SoS, while matched up against one another, can give more balanced fights.

Edit: Hamster is correct. Thanks for the output! SBI amazes me about what the players can do, when in truth, it is pretty much a militia, server. There isn’t a dominant guild or commander since the departure of Bannok. The militia working together with a couple of guilds was what was keeping SBI in t3. No doubt that with a few guilds to back up, the server can be as competitive it was before the tourney.

I’m debating whether to delete all my characters and transfer. I have four level 80’s and one near 80. But I refuse to give Anet any money to transfer because of their neglect of WvW so deleting my toons is the only option.

I really don’t want to level anyone again though, especially with the new leveling system.

Anet really needs to take some action on that Population discussion.

The sad thing is to be stomped over and over and you can do anything. I do like my server, but is not fun to play in that way. At least they should merge servers to fight side by side.

I do not want to be in the always winning server. But I do want to be in a server that can at least try to win. Also my guild is slowly dying

From what I’ve seen a good guild is what you need. If your guild is dying consider buddying up with a similar sized guild or even merging if it’s that bad. It’s hard to care about a server if you don’t even have a guild.

I actually belive it’s the other way around, since people with guilds are more likely to do things for the good of the guild over the good of the server… And when such guild decide to transfer off, the said player won’t think twice before leaving the server behind.

Life is too short to be hunting for crappy fights.
