WvW has been boring for a long time for me because there’s no reason to do it. It’s literally the thing you do when you’re too bored to do something else and for no other reason than you were too bored to do something else.

No rewards, no guild pride, no lasting impact, no nothing.

Checked out whether there was a queue at primetime this evening on T1 EU, no map had a queue and EB had the outmanned buff- and that was on SFR.

There is literally nothing that keeps people in wvw any more- even the fights aren’t that interesting any more as the gwen meta has become totally stale, but this was always going to be the problem with no healers and so few skills to choose from as main skills.

Rewards are practically non-existant, EoTM gives 10 times the rewards, karma, wexp, etc. PVE gives massively better rewards.

Badges are still almost completely useless, and totally devalued by the huge amounts you get in EoTM.

WvW is fun if you have someone capable of raising and commanding a zerg.

If one of the top T1 commanders arrived alone in one of your abandoned servers, within weeks you would be jammed with players.

It is the commanders who make WvW happen.

Truth, if you had someone like Disco show up on your t8 server and flip all four maps several times in a couple of days, people would start showing up to play.

I DARE anyone to try prove this… No player by himself can put life on a dead server.

I am pretty sure some could. Some of our top commanders on T1 servers have a lot of skill. They don’t arrive alone. They come with a trained, coordinated guild.

But even alone, I am confident some of these guys could raise a team in a matter of days.

It is the commanders who make WvW work.

See? You changed your argument… You said one guy could change the server, now you say he bring his guild. Yes, one guild that can field a lot of players will do a big impact on lower tiers where the population is, well, lower. But no single person will have a game-changing impact.

It is really fun to win a fight in WvW. It is even more fun to beat a larger force. It’s an addictive rush.

When your leader knows exactly what to do to make that happen, it is so fun. It’s a blast to play your part, to help, to make it happen.

You run and run, win and win.
