It seems that CoR spam is on its way back as soon as they finish working on a patch. I knew it was coming as soon as I read all of the crying on Reddit.

Can we just give CoR a range buff to 5,000, increase the damage coefficient to 4,000 and reduce the cool down to 0.5 seconds? I really think these changes would be wonderful for WvW.

At least we got a one week break from what is probably the most poorly balanced WvW skill in history of this poorly balanced game. Hopefully they buff condition application, nerf condition cleansing, and buff burn damage’s coefficient. That would make things much more wonderful as well.

I don’t get it. I was on my rev last night and COR is just fine as it damage wise, it doesn’t need any buffs, it needs bug fixes.

The issue with COR is that any little deviation in terrain elevation makes it miss its target, it basically goes flat along whatever terrain height you are on. It fails to take into account even the slightest angles. But this a bug, or lack of a sort of “infrastructure” for this skill to function correctly.

The problem with making damage, CD and other adjustments to it is that as long as the above mentioned bugginess remains, if you lower it even a little bit more, it will become completely unusable except on large PVE targets that stand still for long periods of time.

So I guess maybe a-net realized this and they will buff it to compensate for those lower hit rates ? I don’t know. But I would fix the bugs 1st, then once it can hit reliably, then make adjustments to the actual timing and damage values.

hop on your rev, go spam COR at targets on different elevations then you are, for example be down or up the little hill(s) outside of SM walls vs your target, rest is self explanatory.

If they could wind the clock back, it would be nice if they would just nuke 90% of the AoE in this game. AoE has ruined GW2. Sad that most of it is medium to long range to boot.
