This is a really big issue, especially for engineers and ranger since most of their damage comes from projectiles.

The issue is that you cant (well u can but its hard) tell whether the dome belongs to an ally or enemy. Basically the only way to judge this is to Watch where the dome is put down, which can be really really hard in the middle of a big zerg fight.

I can see how a red line doesnt make ti alot easier to tell the difference since the colour of the dome is pink….

maybe dont spam when the domes are up… feedback is on a pretty high cooldown so im sure u will find a way to avoid it…

maybe dont spam when the domes are up… feedback is on a pretty high cooldown so im sure u will find a way to avoid it…

Knowing if the dome is friendly or not would be alot better than restricting my out going dmg jsut because the shots might reflect back on me. Gambling is not my strong side!

Most of the time I can figure out if the dome hits an ally or enemy, however that doesn’t mean others can! And besides, once the the mortar shells are in the air there’s no turning back!!!

Uh, that is actually a valid complaint imo. Not using feedback much. But yeah, not knowing if the feedback bubble is friendly or hostile might make the difference between surviving and suicide.

If ur rf’ing into the middle of the zerg, ur doing it wrong- and that tends to be where the domes are thrown(unless ur on comm focus fire).

I doubt OP and friends are dying because a single mesmer is putting up feedback. A few of them would keep the domes up for a long while. I’m pretty certain they’re already slowing down when they see the reflect damage. The problem is not just with feedback either, though it’s certainly more ubiquitous with it because it’s casted on you as opposed to other reflects. I just don’t think friendlies should be able to confuse their own allies.

Point is, given the chaos of most fights of more than 5 people, the game should make it clear what’s hostile and what’s not. It does an excellent job with the grand majority of other skills in this game and even in the chaos of particle effects and red circles everywhere I can generally identify the worst threats.

As a side note, I really hate trying to pick up enemy FGS’s. :p
