Combo fields on WWW
If you make water #1, sure. It would make my life so much easier.
In order,
Water
Air
Light
Fire
Everything else… wat.
I would only agree to that list, but it just makes wvw more mindless than it already is.

Voice comms+decent driver/commander+people with a brain = Can get the fields you want.

Went to combo stealth with a smoke field…. until a troll ranger who wasn’t on voice comms with us thought they’d be helpful by dropping a water field on us just at the same moment we started blasting. Thanks, ranger.

I think if we had an option to set what combo fields to have priority, then it would make things too easy. I like the fact that we have to continually reposition ourselves to the next water. Would be really cool if the combo field system was built upon though.
Combo Fields are just too weak in general and simply don’t last long enough.
The only relevant ones are fire-fields and water-fields because the Might stacks actually last long enough for the initial clash to take place and the healing is just nice.
Other than that though, they’re pretty meaningless. Retaliation from combo-fields barely lasts more than a few seconds and is expired before a zerg can even clash.
Another problem is that both Conditions and Boons are way too abundant. Condition-applying combo-fields are useless because everyone is already throwing around Condition left and right.
Combo fields are fine as they are. Setting water as top priority just means people are going to spam fields more mindlessly than they already do with no downside. No thanks.
since guardian is not the only one class that has blast finisher skills ( actually all classes have ) , i think is big mistake to force them use hammer in raids just to blast the fields.

There is times I agree with OP (when guardians putting light fields on gates when only fire/water fields has been ordered). But controlling the combo fields makes the diffrence between an organized raiding group and a random players following the blue commander badge, doing random skills.

Yes, you understand the problem!
Combo fields require a fair bit of coordination to pull off in WvW. That’s the nice part of it. They’re plenty easy enough to see anyway
