Guild Wars 2

Was reading in the IoJ forums and it came up to maybe have one or more commander’s help out in different roles when working with WvW zerg’s/players for training and game play. This brought up a though I had about having different color Commander’s Compendium [Tags] set up in the game. It might be best if Anet sets the colors for specific roles like

Blue – First commander on map, lead commander
Red – Zerg 1 commander
Yellow – Zerg 2 commander
Green – Party/camp flippers commander
Orange – optional role set by Blue Commander

I was talking to another commander about this idea and they thought it would be a nice idea, and we were thinking that each server could set up their own roles with a pre-set colers, but this could lead to a confusion when it come to new players to WvW, so maybe having one or two color tags be available for setting a custom roles would be a better way to go with this. So when a new commander log into map they have can pick one of the roles to take on if desired . food for thought Anet Dev’s.

Sorry for hashing up an old idea again. All the same it would be nice, never thought about the pass code option, that would be sweet.

Well I guess we can lay this post down to rest then.

It’s only an old idea because it hasn’t been implemented yet – it’s still a great idea.
Good on you for posting about it – the more this happens, hopefully the more chance there be that ANet will actually put it high enough on their list for it to happen.

I would love to see this implemented! This will help so many things when people aren’t used to seeing multiple pins on a map.

The entire grouping and commander and squad system needs to be updated into the 21st century. Different users asking for the same things should let the WvW dev team know how we feel. The have said they are going to address it but I feel the lack of a timeline or “How” they are going to address it is frustrating a lot of people.

All these requests were given in feedback during the beta weekends and we’re coming up to a year post release….
