I’m not good at PvP and thus not good at WvW. I “enjoy” WvW to some degree. But when it comes to taking a keep, it isn’t my fault if we lose (finger hasn’t been point directly at me. I’m speaking “for” the server’s players). I’m tired of commanders chewing out his followers because we lost something. They talk as if they performed perfectly and the rest of us were the problem! They’d be nothing without us.

I like the idea of paying 100 gold for the commander rank. BUT, I think it should be a bit more like politics! I’m worthless at WvW, yet I can pay 100 gold and have people follow me meaninglessly. We should be able chose who we want to follow! I think we should take out the 100 gold payment and have a leadership board for people to elect commanders. People see the icon on the map and think your one of the best there is yet you could be the absolute worst and just paid 100 gold for respect!

I want everyone to earn the rank of commander and not simply buy it. Perhaps then the rest of us wont be blamed for losses anymore. Come on ArenaNet, you make us earn everything else. Why not the rank of commander.

Doesn’t matter at this stage because useless commanders are easily recognised by the community and ignored.

This is a bad commander. Remember his name, and don’t follow him in the future. Eventually he will be stuck with his sigil up wondering why nobody is following him.

WvW is like anything else, it just takes practice. The more you do it, the more you will know what to do in situations, or against certain classes. If you absolutely can’t kill anyone, try a different spec. Go to your class boards and find wvw builds.

You don’t have to follow a commander. Ask in map chat if any roaming groups have room. Notice which guilds you see out alot in wvw, and figure out which ones you think you might like. Tell them you are interested in finding out more about their guild and ask if you can run with them for a while. You can be in more than 1 guild at a time, if you can’t find one that does both pve and wvw, then find one of each. Run with people you like. Find out if they have a voice server, and join up, even if you are only there to listen. More is explained in voice chat than typed out because it’s just faster and easier. Running with like-minded people makes all the difference in the world.
