Guild Wars 2

I am new and wondering which server to play on.

I would like a server with a solid population for pve play, and a server that is competitive in its WvW tier.

I am not looking to go to the best server. or the best server in the tier necessarily. I would like to play on a competitive tier, so that on any given day we could win or lose rather getting rolled or rolling the enemy effortlessly.

Any recommendations?

go to Sanctum Of Rall they are hurting for people. they get dunked on relentlessly in their tier and yet are still one of the strongest servers in gw2

I wouldn’t look at the matchups at the moment as they’ve been screwed up with the season, certain servers are not where they should be. Would wait another week or two to get a good reading from the matchup monitor.

As for recommended server something middle of the order would probably suit you, although there will never be a true not getting rolled or rolling the enemy effortlessly, because of the mismatching that happens often in this system.

If you want something on the top, Jade Quarry or Tarnished Coast would be ok, Blackgate doesn’t need any more, Sanctum of Rall gave up in the league.

Sea of Sorrows could also use more north american players

I was actually thinking of Sea of Sorrows. A lot of people on forums recommended it and the 2nd tier seems to be pretty good.

I rolled on Ferguson’s Crossing currently but I’m just checking out the classes and whatnot, so no harm in deleting my low level characters and re-rolling. That tier actually seems good too but I’m wondering if a higher population server would have more lower levels, since I’m new.

SoS is a good server if you’re into the PvE scene

Dean-SoS rally’s around new people. Don’t be afraid to let people know you are new. I’ve seen many a new person being taken under the week of the veterans

Id say tier 1 or 2. tier 1 SoR would be a great place right now they can use everyone right now and SoS on tier 2. both great servers and lots of great guilds to play for.

I concur. You will find good fights in SOR and SOS for WvW. I can’t vouch for PvE stuff, apologies. What time zone are you running?

Desolation EU. Hands down the most awesome server there is. And if you fancy PvP/PvE, we got a huge community in those areas aswell

SoR, TC, SoS, Mag are all good choices. I don’t know about SBI yet, FA may not need anyone with there influx of people.

I play Eastern Time.

I think I will probably stay on Fergusson’s Crossing… I talked to a commander and he was pretty cool. Tier 6 seems to have one of the best WvW brackets.

I’d say any of the T2 or T3 servers. Those 6 servers are all pretty competitive at the moment.
