Condi Nerf plz
Why nerf condi? Getting wrecked by condi reapers while not having condi removal? xD

I don’t personally like the current condi system much. There is, for example too many condis that are all basically same thing and could be reduced to half to make things easier to follow. Also half the condi fall into category of “this can be ignored” so again, those could be easily removed to reduce the litter. Next there is question of DoT condis being actually instant damage bombs since they have too short times. And last, too many skills got extra condis to apply auto with damage, really bad idea, specially when condi removal is still rare.
Condis like confusion and torment should just get removed from the game. Burn needs to be toned down a lot. Conditions in general take away from the fast paced combat system this game has.

@ FogLeg.9354 – I can’t ignore any condition: Top four of condis I hate the most: Torment, Confusion, Chill, Fumble/Glance. They either need to be toned down or removed. You can also give me my old condi removal back, then they wouldn’t be that much of a problem to me.

I really dislike an entire damage class that can generate high DPS with only one stat and completely bypasses another. My condi thief doesn’t even bother with duration it relies completely upon interrupts and high condi applicaiton. This allows that build to maintain high power and vitality while still dishing out heavy condi DPS. The fact that 80% of build damage bypasses toughness is a massive boost. The build is beatable but 95% of fights are easily won simply by dodging and timing an interrupt or two.

One can try either:
1. Create a new attribute for chance to apply conditions.
2. Create a new attribute for condition damage reduction or armor/trinkets that does minus condition duration.
3. Have ICD for all conditions when it comes to re-application. e.g: If you have a burn stack, you can continue to stack on that while the enemy is still burning. Once enemy cleanses or burn duration ends, then the ICD kicks in.
Personally, I would prefer option 1 or 2.

Burn would definitely make my top four. It’s hilariously strong.

The condition system game wide has been poorly implemented. The problem is that condition and control effects can be used over and over and over.
As someone with many years of pvp experience, and who prefers pvp over pve, the condition system is very poor. As is the stealth system too.
This game was obviously built with pve in mind and stacking at bosses, not pvp. The devs are not making any changes to separate balancing because it will take effort and that’s something that’s not cared about at the moment.

Gw2 was a game to be easy for every one, while player uses what Anet makes strong(more efective) to cut the gap between new and older players, to give a chance for new players to beat/pressure a more experienced fighter to an extent offc, but even that went a bit out of hand, they did alot of awfull decicsions that ended conflicting with the game itself, game did not envolved well, they ignore the real issues, and hide them with very strange solutions.

Condi play is so passive. Mesmers can stack confusion, which hurt when you hit them. Then they can stack torment, which hurt when you move. Ive seen roaming guardians stack burning and just run in circles blocking. My warrior is meant for condi removal hoelbrook runes, zerker stance, and a warhorn and i still cant keep the condi’s off.
The problem is the rate at which they can be applied, with ease. It caters to brainless spam. In DAoC, if you got inflicted with a status ailment, there was a small period of immunity to that specific condition for a short time period and you had to manage your cd’s and condition clearing abilities. It took skill and timing.
Conditions just allow for mind numbing gameplay. Think about what a Warrior could do if they didn’t have to worry about sustain and condition removal. You would fear them.

tbh condi/bunker in wvw was made even more viable(necessary) with the last wvw update considering rally nerf and revive nerf. seems everyone running a condi build these days lol

It is, but it doesn’t control me, it just kills me. With Torment I have to stand still, which is rather dangerous as a thief, confusion makes me helpless, chill slows me which again is dangerous for a thief, glance takes my crits and endurance regen away. And unfortunately I have little options to get the latter two off, or even 3, as I can’t do much when being confused.

Don’t even get me started on torment. Here we have a fluid, action oriented combat system aaand we’re punished for moving. Because chill, immob and even cripple totally aren’t already a thing.
