Condi roamer?
Mesmer and Warrior.

I rather duel a full condi build than the super sustain bunker ones any day.

A very strong build right now is actually DH with Trapper Runes. Its defensive sustain is very strong, it hits like a truck and has decent mobility and escape. The few I have seen lately have been tearing me up. It isn’t a pure condi build but a hybrid.

Mesmer and Warrior.

Yep, and don’t need much mobility really if you build your Necro for super chills… ah nothing like dropping a load of ice one after another one an enemy and watching him slow mo to death.. lol…

Many of the condi builds are crazy bunkery too + don’t take the hit on dmg that most power builds take for bunkering up.

Just because they have the stats, doesn’t mean they are traited to be bunker… A rabid necro with Undead runes maybe be tanky (3k armor and 20k HP + 13k Life Force) but it will never be more annoying than a minstrel druid with healing traits.

Chills can be cleansed and movement skills ignore Reduced Movement from chills, but who run these on WvW amirite? People always complain about condis that I doubt anyone even knew that…

That’s kind of a dishonest example of a tanky condi build. Of course stats don’t make as much of difference for the necro who can only face tank every hit after dodging twice. A more realistic example is a mesmer in full dire/trailblazer gear who has access to stealth, invulnerability, heal on every shatter, and high in combat mobility from phase retreat and blink.

Eh I wouldn’t use the term bunker anywhere near a necro. You also don’t have to go full bunker stupid to do a boatload of condi dmg and be very hard to kill.
As for best condi roamer Id say thief at this point (tho op already has one). Warrior is predictable and boring. Mes is boring unless you’re great at it and can pro troll. Necro is yolo roamer. Rev is nerf batted to hell. Ranger is good but op has one. Engi is good but op has one.
Could try dh or ele if you’re brave. Either of these could actually be interesting with some celestial or as hybrids. Both have access to burn in power builds and ele has a couple of traits that add a boatload of condi dmg based on toughness and power.
Burn Guardian is cool. Necromancer requires a lot of support. Condi ele is good 1v1. Condi mesmer is satan. Condi warrior is ok.

You condi guys are just… im laughing..
Do you really condi is not op? do you really think nobody runs condi clear??
The Thing is: the condi cleanse System is kittenty and also the condi covering is deadly.
The condi thief/ condi mesmer mechanic is facerolling.
A new Player can kill an experienced Player just because of the build.
And then you are defending your condi build and say such kittenty things?
Ure just funny.

If you’re that upset, just reroll to a Warrior and let the Resistance carry you.
Simples.
Also, condi ele ftw.

Condi Chrono…. best of the best
I can’t help but noticing the condi builds people rage about (mes, teef) have utterly rock bottom offence and the only cheesy thing about them is how hard they are to kill. The only way you can die to them is if you just plain let them kill you.
Also there’s no such thing as a condi build that can kill an ele. If you’re condi and you see an ele you might as well take your hands off the keyboard.

If u want to get better in game play pure power
condi builds are for noobs that want to troll/facerolling with no skills
If you want to get better in the game play pure power, play hybrid, play condi. Figure out what works for each and doesn’t work and that will help you fight people when you know the kinds of tricks they can bring to a fight.
And don’t listen to people who say “x build is cheese.” Cheese is so over used it might as well mean “your build is a strong combination of damage and survivability.” It’s an insult used by people who either don’t understand a build—because they refuse to spend the time to figure it out—or who do understand a build and refuse to adjust their own build to counter it. For a brief list of power builds that fall into this category:
Druid can have a strong power combination of damage and survivability. Cheese. Warrior can have strong damage and survivability. Cheese. Dragonhunter’s with heals and blocks and tons of damage. Cheese. Tanky/stealthy chonomancers with massive power shatters. Cheese. Scrappers with high uptime of stealth, shield/reflect, and heals while dishing out damage. Cheese. Daredevil with high evade uptime staff dealing damage while taking almost none. Cheese.
And I like cheese. I like fighting it. It is a challenge. It means the other player has a good build and I need to understand the build as much as outplay the other person. It means that my own careful selection of traits will matter as we see which build is superior and whether we can overcome that difference with our personal abilities. Shaming people into not running builds that are effective is not the way to get challenging, or diverse, fights.

Can’t blame the people for running the most effective build out there, but there is no such thing as diverse fights when everyone run the same thing… After fighting for exemple 10 different warriors, and all of them are the boon duration GS/Axe+Shield meta build, it feel you are facing the same thing over and over…

As a power warrior you can get 4500 effective power and 45000 effective hp, 2 endure pains, shield stance, high uptime on stability, good access to resistance and condi clears and a hilariously overtuned heal.
An evade spamming staff thief can get just as many evades as an evade spamming condi thief with about 85% of the effective hp and the ability to average about 4-5k per vault depending on enemy toughness.
Condi cheese definitely exists, but lets not pretend that power is inherently less cheesy.

Power has to chew through toughness and vitality in between blocks, invulns, dodges, etc. Power is also a true three stat meaning Power, Precision and Ferocity must be primed in some way to deal any real damage. Condi bypasses toughness, allows for somewhat passive application and most important can be done from one stat on some builds. Condi Duration is a bonus on many builds as their application is so frequent. Condi can also load up their target and play keep away for the rest of the fight.
“Youre lips are movin and youre complaining about something thats wingeing.”
Power has to chew through toughness and vitality in between blocks, invulns, dodges, etc.
This is also true for condition attacks. I don’t understand why you people insist in talking like if condition had unblockable in every attack.
Power is also a true three stat meaning Power, Precision and Ferocity must be primed in some way to deal any real damage.
Most power builds these days been walking away from Berserker and being much effective. People started to realized that you don’t NEED 220% crit chance to be effective. I’ve been seeing people run ~180%, sometimes less, and being very effective.
Also there are many contidition builds that need precision to increase their condition application.
Condi bypasses toughness, allows for somewhat passive application and most important can be done from one stat on some builds.
Define: passive application. You mean “It applies condition on auto attacks”? Because I’m pretty sure you also apply direct damage on auto attacks on power builds.
Condi Duration is a bonus on many builds as their application is so frequent. Condi can also load up their target and play keep away for the rest of the fight.
If condition duration was just a bonus people wouldn’t need to run Rare Veggie Pizza and Rune Sets that give condition duration… The addition of Condition Duration to the gear allow condition users to use other rune sets that never saw use before since everyone would be running Nightmare or a certain condition focused ones like Perplexity/Tormenting/Balthazar/Krait. It’s a sure thing that people running these sets aren’t running Vipers or Trailblazer or they are just tossing away stats for having over 100% duration.
Also, condition can be cleansed before they do damage, somenthing that cannot happen with Direct damage. If you just put conditions but don’t put pressure on your enemy, I find it unlikely that you’ll kill it unless it’s using some bad build that don’t have cleanses.

I run condition (or hybrid with a tendancy towards condition) on some of my characters and yeah, those of them who can apply many conditions to cover the lethal ones are harder to counter.
Still Straegen.2938, you can’t say that some power build aren’t really strong either: I don’t know how, but as a DH, I just got one shoted by a power revenant a few minutes ago. Sure, his DD friends ripped me off all my defensive cooldowns, but he’s the one who did lend the “killing” (19k) blow. Power warrior with a two-handed sword are also kinda strong (and can sometimes faceroll a condition based opponent) and I bet a lot of builds can pack a lot of offense without going full glass cannon.
A lot of builds can counter others: you can’t always win. Well, I can’t.
